Question about Sony Video Cameras
I have a Sony Video8 Handycam CCD-FX410 NTSC.
It will not accept a tape. I can hit the eject button and the tape mechanism will come up and pop open. If I close it without a tape, it will go back down. If I put a tape in and close it, I can hear some motors spinning for a few seconds, and then the tape mechanism pops back open.
I have tried several different tapes with the same results.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

This problem can be caused by condensation. Leave camera and tapes in a warm dry place for a day and try again. If that doesn't help, there may be a tape threading fault. This can be something as simple as a broken drive belt, but still will require professional attention.
