The screen of the Acer AL1916W no sign of life

Bogsnoy had suggested checking the F200 SMT fuse and it is bad on my monitor. Can you tell me what the current rating is for that fuse?

My acer montior turns on fine, screen appears fine for a couple seconds, then blinks pinkish in colour and shuts off. This is a desktop computer monitor.

Pinkish glow can be sign of bad lamps, which will not be worth fixing.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed ACER monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/

It probably has porblem in the power supply/inverter board, you need to look for bad caps with domed tops, bad MOSFET in the inverter circuits, inverter transformer

It suggest checking the F200SMT fuse, but we do not know where it is located

Hello,

The F200 fuse is located on the bottom of the power supply board the SMT part of the number means the fuse is a surface mount which is very ver small. If you go to our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/monitor_repair.htm we have a step by step guide for this monitor. More than likely you will also have to replace the 2 MOSFETs and 2 capacitors as shown in the repair guide. Your power supply should be model DAC19M005. Email me if you have any questions.

I hope this helps, If so please rate my solution.

Monitor just stopped working, screen is white.

The totally white screen and no On Screen Display / Menu indicates your monitor is definitely faulty. Unfortunately the only solution is to have the monitor repaired, or buy a new monitor. If the monitor is still under warranty, the manufacturer should replace or repair it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(

If you know someone that is technically experienced and is willing to try, replacing the logic board is fairly simple assuming you can find an exact replacement. I suggest searching google for AL1916W video board or logic board, you might find an electronics store that carries the part, or you might find one on eBay.
