Problem for Nikon COOLPIX S51 Digital Camera

CoolpixS51 camera stuck on set time and date

on my cool pix camera once turned on it prompts to set time and date but will not allow me to select either and only scrolls through yes or no. there is no other option and the camera does not function except to ask for time and date.
turning the camera on and off and removing the battery does not fix the problem.

please help

Not 100% sure about this model, but most have another battery in the camera for the clock functions. That battery could be low.
Try looking in the manual for the clock battery and pull that and replace it. See if that helps.
