Photos on handycam memory stick won't download

When I use my Picture Motion Browser to try to download my still photos from the memory stick of my Sony HDR-SR12, they are not recognized any longer. I connect with the USB cable and it opens the PMB, then the window shows the videos I've on the camcorder, but for the photos. It shows some blank spaces for some that were removed months ago and doesn't show the memory stick info. I uninstalled the PMB and then re-installed it. I downloaded other photos a couple months ago with no problem. What can I do???
