HP US region code for HP PSC 1610 All-in-One Hi,I bought my HP PSC 1610 All-in-One in Germany and now have moved back to the US. As it is regionalized to Europe region code, I need to change it to US region code. Does anyone have the code to make the changes?Thank you.

    Hi Tom,

I don't get around the mesasge that the ink cartridges aren't compatible and if I take them out it asks me to insert them. So there is no way of getting into the Setup.

It is too bad that there is no HP posting on the web that explains how to do it.

    Thanks for your effort.

To change the region there is a special report to be printed from the printer from which some numbers are to be taken which belong to the printers firmware these numbers are to be given to HP they ll run an algorithm on it and then it can be regionalized... one printer can only change a region 3 times.

Both of my cartridges ran out, I cannot even print a diagnostic report to get those numbers. I am short $29 (cost of b/w) and am not willing to spend another $43 (color) only to find out that this piece of useless h/w will not accept my HP ORIGINAL CARTRIDGE.

What a motivation to buy original HP cartridges, eh?

I have no ink (b/w or color) so I cannot even print a test report.

How to change zone/region for HP Photosmart C3180

A RESET HAS TO BE DONE ON THE PRINTER. NO OTHER WAY POSSIBLE WITHOUT DOING A RESET. CALL UP CUSTOMER CARE. WAIT FOR A CALL FROM THE BACK END TEAM...THEY WOULD ASSIST YOU WITH IT WITHIN 24 HOURS. RESET WOULD BE DONE FOR REGIONALIZATION ISSUE. NOTE : ONLY 3 MAXIMUM RESETS POSSIBLE FOR THE UNIT.

HP Photosmart all in one C3180

My suggestion: Don't buy HP. I have the same region coding problem. All I want to do is buy HP ink, put it in my HP printer and print stuff. Too hard. I've wasted 30 pounds on ink and another 30 pounds on "support" phone calls to HP. Hopeless. I will never buy HP again. Waste of time and money.
