Car stolen last night. any way for the car to be tracked???

I read an article about how to find a stolen car there: https://reolink.com/what-to-do-when-car-is-stolen/
Besides filing a report to police, using GPS tracking system to track down your stolen vehicle, there are 5 ways you can have a try:

Way 1. Use Security Camera Systems to Find Your Stolen Car

With the increasing of security awareness, more and more people install security camera systems to prevent home break-ins. Hope you are one of them, because security camera systems are one of the best ways to find your stolen car and vehicle.

One of the most welcomed features of security camera systems is 24/7 continuous recording. If you park your car near your home, your security camera systems will record everything happening to your car. Check all of your home security cameras, especially the one in your garage. Nothing can escape security camera systems' "detective eyes". With the car thief's clear image, and his general escape route, the likelihood of finding your stolen car will significantly increase.

Moreover, you can ask for permission to check your community's security camera systems. If your car is stolen in your community, security camera systems will record the trace of your stolen car. A stolen Chevrolet Silverado car owner got his car back by checking a primary school's security camera systems. All in all, don't forget this effective way when your car is stolen.

Way 2. Call Every Cab Company When Your Car Is Stolen

Whatever the situation is, calling all the cab companies in the area where your car is stolen is definitely a good option to find your stolen car. Taxi drivers seriously outnumber police, thus increasing chances of finding your car. Besides, you should give enough reward, such as $100, to the taxi driver who finds your stolen car. Reward is an incentive to encourage more people to join your stolen vehicle search team, which increases the possibility of recovering your stolen car.

Way 3. Check the City's Transportation Website for Parking Violation

When your car was stolen, the car thief would park your car somewhere and then abandoned it. The car was ticketed and put into the parking violation database, which is available online apparently. You can check if your stolen vehicle is in this database and then go to the area where the violation takes place. After that, contact the police immediately, they will search your car and then release it to you if they find it.

Way 4. Check for Your Stolen Car's Parts Being Sold Online When Your Car Is Stolen

If your car has been parted out, finding who is selling those parts could lead you to recover your wheeled baby. You can use automated checking system, such as Craigslist checker, to track down your stolen vehicle. If you can identify parts from your stolen car, make sure that you contact the police before arranging any meeting with the seller. Car thieves are dangerous guys. Accompanied by the police, you can get your stolen car back more safely and smoothly.

Way 5. Find Your Car with VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)

A vehicle identification number (VIN) is a unique code used by vehicle industry to identify individual motor vehicles, towed vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, etc. A car can be tracked through a vehicle identification number.
VIN not only helps you check if your car is stolen, but also plays an important role on recovering your stolen car. First, go toAutoCheck, and purchase vehicle history report. The cost of the report will be between $30 and $40.
Enter your vehicle identification number and credit card details on the vehicle history report search screen, and you will see a chronological history of the places where your car was registered, titled and serviced. The last known registration or service should be the most recent location of your stolen vehicle. Thus you can narrow down the search range when your car is stolen, and get your car back fast.

PRIMARY MASTER TOSHIBA MK1652GSX LOCK

If your hard drive is locked you're out of luck. I'm not calling you a thief, but 99% of the time when you encounter a computer that has a password on the hard drive and the person in possession of the computer does not know the password, the computer is stolen. Hard Drive passwords are put on to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data.

How to find a stolen garmin nuvi

There's little you can do besides reporting in stolen to the police and maybe checking out local pawn shops or scanning ebay & craigslist for used GPS devices offered for sale in your area.

There is little the police will do as they probably lack the manpower to search for these items - and doing it yourself can place you in harms way - depending on the character of the person selling the device. It is also possible, but probably not very likely, that the person selling it does not know it was stolen.

You should have proof of purchase - basically the box and serial number - and have police present when making the transaction if they are interested in assisting you with the GPS recovery process.

Most likely though, you will not find your GPS. The police will not really be interested in doing more than accepting a stolen property report that you fill out yourself. All you can really do is not leave valuables in sight or really even unattended in a vehicle. You should make use of Garmin's Theft Lock technology - which basically renders the GPS useless without knowing the unlock PIN. While this won't prevent theft (or get it back), you can get some satisfaction knowing that even though you can no longer use the GPS - the thief can't either.

My HPdvr4 laptop was stolen im not sure if i had any tracking or anything installed on it....is there anyway possible to locate it if the person who stole it connects to the interent? thanks.

Every network-adapter (wired or wireless) in a computer has a unique 12-character code, named the 'MAC-address'.

Call the police, to report it as stolen.

Contact your ISP -- if you connected your computer with a cable directly to the cable-modem or DSL-modem, they can tell you the MAC-address. They can also look on their network for the thief making the same connection with your computer. If they find it, they will need authorization from your local police, via a warrant, to release information about the location of the thief to the police.

If you made a wireless connection to your school/employer's wireless network, they may be able to retrieve similar information.

Lost nokia5233. how can i track the new sim inserted in my handset? i have done FIR in police. but i want to know how would i come to know that whether the thief has inserted new simcard in my handset or...

You will need to contact the carrier and report the phone as lost so that the phone can be flagged. Since you mention thief and police, then you should contact the carrier and report the phone as stolen, they may require a police report filing # as well. The carrier likely won't let you know directly, but likely report the phone status to the police department where report was made.

Dell Laptop Trouble

hI,

Dell Laptops are built to retail the BIOS passwords in a EEPROM, so
removing batteries will not help you in removing the password. Since
Dell only sells direct, and not through retail stores, they can take
the additional security measure for their owners to protect their
information if the computers are stolen. If a Dell Laptop is stolen
and the owner has properly set the BIOS passwords, the only thing the
thief can now do is to try to sell it as parts, or to pawn it off on
some ****** who doesn't check for BIOS passwords first. Dell does
recognize ownership transfers as I have gotten the ownership of a
system transferred to me, as well as transferring ownership of some
of my older systems to their new owners.

If you are willing to search around theinternet, you will find lots
of people willing to sell you a service of removing the password for
you. You can find people willing to sell you a new EEPROM chip
without a password telling you that soldering this new chip on the
system board is the solution to your problem. I have even seen one
site that claims to give you the instructions on how to remove the
password yourself.

Before you put too much effort into this, you might consider checking
with Dell, and/or your local police station to see if the system has
been reported stolen. If it has, then the store you bought it from
might be able to help the police to catch the thief before he steals
another laptop, who knows, maybe the next one he steals might be
yours.

If you forget any of your passwords, call Dell. For your protection, Dell's technical support staff will ask youfor proof of your identity to make sure that an unauthorizedperson is not trying to use the computer.

Thanks

Never heard of a 'hard drive code' before.. You don't mean a BIOS password, do you?? If it is a bios password, there is most likely a switch or 'jumper pin' on the motherboard, that will reset the bios to default. That will get rid of the password. If this is not helpful, please describe what happens when you try to start the pc..? Maybe more info will help sort this out. Go to the website of the manufacturer & look for your model of pc. It will tell you how to reset the bios password, if you need further info..
