Check the fuel cap to see if the vent is clear . the gas is displaced by air so if the vent in the cap is clogged with dirt . we have no dis placement of fuel.

Also check the solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor. Quick and easy way to check for this is When the motor stops remove the air cleaner cover and filters. Use starting fluid or brake clean and spray some in the carburetor opening then try starting it . if it starts then the solenoid is bad. only after trying the cap thing.

sounds like the spark plug may be fouled or the fuel filter or carburetor is dirty.

Not getting any spark

Clean the Plug and replace the Seafoam gas with fresh. Althiough the Seafoam is a cleaning agent, it cuts back on the gasolines octane and it can slightly foul plugs.

My mower starts when cold and runs for a while OK

it sounds like the ignition coil is shorting out inside once it gets hot. or it could be the spark plug as well.

Craftsman riding mower starts rides a few minutes then stops

Make sure that when you check the oil that the mower has sat I say for at least 5mins. Your mower might have an oil sencer. If not I think it might be the coil gettin hot and shorting out.

The lawn mower starts and then sputters and shuts off. Checked air filter - it's clean, changed gas, checked oil and spark plug. After changing gas it stays on a few minutes longer but sounds like it will...

Sounds like you have a carb problem here. If your not familiar with the carb have someone qualified to do it. Other wise it sounds like the jet in the carb has dirt in it, obstructing the gas passage. Most of those jets are directly in the bottom of the carburetor. Remove it and be careful not to drop the bowl because if you do you could cause the float to move and that could get stuck and then not shut the fuel flow off to the bowl when re installed. Good luck
