The left side of the computer display is blank. How can that be fixed?

Please let me know what make and model of computer and computer monitor you are dealing with.

In general, without having any additional information, I can say that on computer monitors there are settings to change the picture width and height controlled by buttons on either the front, side or top of the monitor. There is generally a menu button, buttons to move the selection and then the settings.

If you are dealing with a laptop, there are some with backlights, or small light bulbs in the LCD that light up the screen.

You can also go to your device manager and look to see if your video and display devices are shown to be working correctly. A faulty video card, display module, video driver or display driver could be to blame. These have to be ruled out to find the actual problem. Can you hook up to another monitor and get a full display?

Some of my answer depends if you are seeing the full image of the windows desktop on half of the display or only seeing half of the image windows desktop on half the screen.

Please give me more detail about the problem you are experiencing and I will be able to find a more specific answer for you,

I will wait to hear from you,

Brian

How do I adjust the brightness? It's too much?

Hi,
By following these steps u can adjust the brightness

Step 1
Press "Menu" on your LCD's display panel (usually below the screen). Various display options will be shown on the screen.
Step 2
Select brightness from the options. This is usually indicated by a sun. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on your display panel to increase or decrease brightness.
Step 3
Select contrast from the options. This is usually indicated by an oval half black and half white. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on your display panel to increase or decrease contrast.

Thank you

Only bottom half is shown on screen from our Benq

Try lowering the resolution of your pc to a lower amount that the Projector can handle. Start as low as 800x600 and try working up from there.
To change pc's resolution: Right click on the desktop, click properties then settings and try sliding the resolution adjuster and testing each one with your projector. wait for the projector to resync itself each time.
good luck!

My laptop display only shows half a screen. The rest shows a white background with thin black lines. I can attach an external monitor and see everything without an issue.

i have solve the problem for my hp nx7300. mine used to show everything that should be shown on the screen but had the screen placed in a Conner so small. i solved this by uninstalling the monitor and unknown device drivers. i have then installed the unknown device as a blue-tooth adapter to avoid this problem recurring. hope this sorts out some people's problem. the other half screen with half completely not shown has to do with the cable connecting the monitor and the CPU. remember solving this for my friend by cleaning the connection port.
