Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
I'm currently having trouble connecting to my router. I can easily access the internet via ethernet directly into the modem, but the internet just doesn't seem to go through the router. I am able to access its IP address and change some things around, but I'm worried that I might do somethng wrong. I should also mention that this is the second time in a week that this router has given us this problem. Please Help!
The first thing to know is, what kind of OS are you running?
Go to start and click on run, on the dialog box type 'cmd' or 'command', then type 'ipconfig /all'
Please look at your Default Gateway should display:
192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
The modem rj45 cable should connect to the internet port on the router and another rj45 cable connect from the router(any port 1-4) to your pc
open your browser and go to http://192.168.X.X
The last resort will be to reset your router by pressing a reset button on the back of the router for 5-10 seconds.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
