BLOWN FUSES IN THE POWER CORDS ON MY PVS72901

WHERE DO I OBTAIN REPLACEMENT FUSES? WHY DO THEY KEEP BLOWING OUT? REPLACING IT WITH A HIGHER AMP FUSE RISK BURNING UP THE DVD PLAYER OR IT CATCHING ON FIRE DOESN'T IT?
THANKS

You can get fuses from almost any electrical shop, just take the blown fuse with you, give it to the shopkeeper and ask for a new one. The fuse might be blowing because,
-if you have a fan it might be blocked,
-the DVD Player gets switched on and off,
-The device its connected to might be malfuctioning.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

I shorted out the speaker wire going to sub and now the amp doesnot work

You have probably blown the internal power supply fuses in your amp or the speaker fuse in the amp. The chances of blowing your sub are slim.

The internal fuses can sometimes be hard to find. They aren't usually intended for the user to change. DO NOT replace them with higher amperage fuses if they blow after you replace them as there has been severe damage caused to the circuitry. Also, don't replace them with higher amperage fuses because you think that this will let you get more power out of the amplifier. This won't work, and you will end up blowing your expensive output devices.

Why does my Definitive Pro Sub 1000 keep blowing fuses the second I put them in?

Sounds like the amp is shoot.
Never power on the amp without speaker connected.

Using cigarette lighter for air pump

It is very likely the cigar lighters circuits wiring sizes are not suitable for the amp draw of the compressor, i suggest you not use it as a power source. Buy clip leads and solder them on and use the battery as the power source. You can obtain the electrical clips from any hardware store.

How many amps is the fuse that is located on the back of the TV near the power cord. It says T5AL/125 or 250 v. f800

Something else is going on to cause the fuse to keep blowing. Sounds like you have an issue on your power supply in the unit. Also check the outlet that your plugging it in to. Good luck!

Cant get the fuse out

The fuse is in a "boat" right next to where the power cord plugs. Pry outward on the tab of plastic where the power cord plugs in. The tabe is about 1/4 inch wide.

IF THE FUSE HAS BLOWN, better find out why as replacing it MAY cause further damage to internal components. If you do replace it and it blows again, take amp in for servicing.

Power locks are not working

Check for blown fuses in the fuse box. If it keeps blowing when you replace fuse there is a short in your doorlocks. Warning replace with same fuse value not higher you may damage more wires.

Blowing fuses

Isn't the 1 amp fuse too small? Usually 12 volt operated electronics require a higher amperage fuse. Check with the adaptirs owners manual first before changing again.

good day, check your spkr impedance, if 4oms use a posive spkr dividing network. if stills blows up replace a higher amperage of your fuse. ex.4A raise it up to 5A. the your amps consume higier current if more spkr wattage.
