Does the pump have wick disconnects that required a tool to remove them? There are orings in those as well as a large oring sealing the pump to the tank. Make sure the connectors click when you replace them. The pump should activate with the key on. " not started", you should be able to see if the lines are leaking or if it just your fuel fill overflow hose leading to the fill door alongside the large full hose.

If the fuel is leaking into the car you will need the replace the seal on the top on the pump assembly not the seals on the pump itself but before changing the seal just double check the fuel lines are tight and the leak is actually from the fuel splashing out of the tank. The seal your after is referred to as the pump assembly oring ( big rubber oring around the top of the assembly a smear of silcone can be used as a temporary fix but erge you to get it fix properly as soon as possible and fuel fumes in the cabin can be extremely deadly)

It is located under the car in front of the fuel tank in a tray.

Sounds like you may have got a pump for the same vehicle but different engine size. However on the oring you need to lube it sometimes to get it to seat. At times I have used the old oring instead of the new just because it wont seat. Check your engine size and the application for the pump you bought see if its the same. Sometime they come with an universal adapter you have to manually splice into the harness.

You need check the level with a gage while its on and blowing high on the low side the ac.
either it need R134a added ore you might have leak. Best thing is check the level first and if low add the dye to see where leaks out and then top off the ac until full but you cant over fill it ore it loc up the ac pump

another suggestion is that you need to have the code re-entered for the hardtop. I just had mine repaired due to a busted hydrolic hose, and the mechanic had a hard time getting it to work properly and ended up having to re-enter the codes.
