I need more specfic info. When the tv is plugged in and you see the red standby led lit, Press the Power On button on the Remote, While you do this look at the Leds on the front of the set. What you are looking for is a Green Led blinking when you press the Power On button on the remote or the front or side. If you see the green Led blink and the set does not turn on, then the Main bd or the Remote sensor inside of the set is bad. If you do not see the Green led blink after pressing the Power On button either on the Remote or the Side or Front of the set the you have either a bad Main bd,Bad Remote sensor , or a stuck button on the front or the side of the set.

A number of things can cause this problem. First, there may be a stuck button on the tv causing a BUS lock up. Second, the IR sensor inside of the set is bad and not receiving the IR signal from the remote. Third, the Digital bd is bad. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

How to repair a vizio tv that turns off at random

1.) Unplug everything from the TV [power, hdmi, av, and more]
2.) Because the Vizio holds power while unplugged you can reset it while its unplugged.
3.) hold power button on the tv down for about 60 seconds.
4.) plug the power only back in.
5.) turn tv on
6.) if it works then plug each component in one by one
7.) enjoy your tv
8.) start saving for a non vizio tv.

My tv won't switch on?

Sometimes this procedure will get an electronic device to turn back on. First check that your power cable is seated in the back - remove it and plug it back in if you can just to be sure. Then unplug the power cord from the wall. Press and hold the power button on the TV (don't use the remote) for 15 seconds. Plug it back in and try turning on the TV using the power button (not the remote).

If that doesn't work - try leaving the TV unplugged for an hour or so then plug it back in and try it again.

Good luck.

Only getting red light

Is this when the TV is on or off? If it occurs while the TV is on, is it constant or intermittent?

Try this: Unplug the TV. Hold down the power button on the TV for 30 seconds, while the TV is still unplugged. Then plug in the TV and turn it back on.

Similarly, power cycle the TV: turn it off, unplug it and leave unplugged for a couple minutes. Plug it back in and power it on. Reset settings back to factory defaults. If all else fails, I would recommend pursuing repair/replacement options.

Toshiba TN55X81 Wont turn on but I hear clicking

Pull the three connectors to the yokes on the convergence board. If the set powers up, it's a good chance the STK392-110's need to be replaced. I fixed one today, and it has been running for 6 hours now.

When the tv shuts done does the power light blink? If so what number does it blink? That will tell me which circuit your problem is in. Notice the number of blinks then let me know. Also what is the model number of your set.
