When Iclick on the Hp Director icon, other than a brief blink of the icon nothing comes up. The icons target is Hpqdirec.exe, but the XP search facility can't find this exe file.Tried to reinstall software from Cd supplied with printer but same result -then downloaded software from Hp site in case CD was at fault-no joy - I am desperate to use the ocr feature of the software as I have in the

My problems was fixed by using the steps provided on the HP website "HP All-in-Ones, Printers, Scanners and Cameras -

1)Uninstall sopletlly HP SOFTWARE
2)download this program:
http://rapidshare.com/files/64051780/Windows_Registry_Repair_Pro_v4.0.0.0.Beni_S-P.rar
3)Rebot ur pc
4)While u installing driver change the DIRECTORY ( do NOT install in program FILES )make new folder and install it there!
If my solution was helpfull please rate this solution AS FIXYA if not let me know and u will get more help

4)While u installing driver change the DIRECTORY ( do NOT install in program FILES )make new folder and install it there!
