Question about KVH Azimuth Sailcomp 103ac 2nd Dis 02 0407 103ac Additional Disp
I purchased the 103AC in 1994 and put in a new gyro last year.
I also purchased a new Garmin 492 GPS at the same time
Since then I have not been able to get the Nav repeat mode to work or the proper information to my B&G Hercules 290 instrument package.
In the old 103AC manual there is a pasted note (from the factory) over the wiring information which says “ See Interface Wiring Diagram” - but there is no wiring diagram in the manual.
I notice in the manual online details on how to hook up the repeater using the brown and blue wires.
So the question is – Has the wiring changed since 1994 ? Where do I get the 1994 “wiring diagram”
The old GPS did not use the blue wire from the 103AC and repeated fine -
The 492 Garmin GPS has the following Blue NMEA out, Brown NMEA IN
Finally, what is the difference between a NMEA In (-) and a NMEA In (+) and a NMEA Out (-) and NMEA (+)? Does data coming in or out need a separate ground?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
