Rooster tail is not shooting high

The rooster tail on my 2007 waverunner is only shooting up about 2 foot. Could this be a problem? It used to shoot much higher

If the waverunner is performing normally as far as throttle response and top speed, then the rooster tail not shooting as high as it used to indicates there is a restriction in the nozzle for the rooster tail, not a problem with the ski. Unbolt the rooster tail nozzle from the steering nozzle and inspect it for debris.

There is a hose running from the jet pump housing to the nozzle. You might try taking the hose off of both ends and verifying that the hose/nozzle is not blocked. If it is, blow it out... if not it could be a partial blockage in your jet pump... are you noticing any reduced power/speed/cavitation on accelleration?

Starts and runs and RPMs are good but it won't go above 5 MPH. Checked intake and I have the rooster tail of water but no speed

you may have to check the pump unit for obstruction
the impellers are known to wear from abrasion from sand in the water and not operate efficiently.

Bracket causes water to roostertail. Depth reading are erratic and incorrect. Very poor. I've had it for 4 months and it's never worked good I have moved location of transponder No affect

Call Humminbird and explain the problem you are having with the rooster tail. They sent me a free rubber piece that fills the gap between the transducer bracket and the transom of the boat. That solved my rooster tail problem.

We bought a used model for which there is no Manual. It is a clock radio and the alarm goes off in the middle of the night. We need to know how to control it.

I had a rooster like that once.
Shot him.
Worked for me!.
and with no information whatsoever as to the make/model of the mystery clock you own, that's the only advice I can give with regards to's giving you trouble...shoot it!

I have a Mercury 7.5 hp 2 stroke engine,At high rev there is good water circulation, but at low rev when fishing there is no water circulation. Is this normal? Bob

No, you should always have water shooting out of the tell-tail port at all engine speeds. The impeller in the water pump assembly is worn and will need to be replaced. It seems like it compensates with higher revs, but can not provide the water volume at low revs.

Fluid wont shoot out

Have someone hold their foot down hard after pumping the brake pedal.
Open bleeder screw and fluid should shoot out. If it does not remove and clean tip.
If you are not bleeding your brakes.
What are you needing fluid to shoot out of?
Do you have a year make & model?

When on sports setting, my camera shoots slow and blurry when indoors

More than likely, your exposure- specifically your shutter speed settings- are too low. When you have fast action, you must have a higher shutter speed (Higher, meaning that the DURATION of the exposure is less. So, an exposure of 1/250th of a second is more desirable than an exposure of 1/30th of a second when shooting indoor sports. (This difference equates to about 400% more exposure, duration-wise). When shooting sports indoors, a "Fast" lens, meaning that the front of the lens is bigger, which allows more light into the camera at one time. (This normally equates to "F-Stop" settings. So, a 50mm F1.4 lens will be a "faster" lens than a 50mm F2 lens. The lower the F number, the "faster" the lens. This also equates to higher prices...) Another consideration for shooting stop-action sports photography indoors is using higher ISO settings. When you double the ISO number, you cut the amount of light required to make a good exposure in half. So, ISO 200 requires half the light of ISO100, and 400 requires half the light of 200 and so on. Typically, I use a setting of ISO 800 or higher for indoor sports (Which, BTW is my speciality...). The trade-off for using higher ISO settings is that it introduces more noise into the image, which many people find less desirable. I also wrote a few articles for POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGING about shooting sports. The "football" article will more than likely be the most help to you. Basically, ALL sports photography is shot the same way, and if you use these techniques, your work will greatly improve. Here is a link to those, and hope they help!

Simmons Prohunter Model 517710 won't shoot a group

You SHOULD send it back. There is something loose inside the scope. Even the worst Simmons scope will get you to 2"-3" group. Also, when you replace it, you might want to consider their (or Nikons) shotgun scopes. They are built to with stand the power of the higher centerfire calibers and magnum shotgun shells.
