Can't get PC to boot up, monitor says power saving mode & beeps

I left my computer on for a couple of days. I was logged into my yahoo email account and I had a word resume up on the monitor. When I went back to the computer 3-4 days later, it had frozen. I manually powered the computer off, and then tried to reboot it and the Computer starts but no XP image; monitor shows "warning", "entering powering saving mode" computer continues to issue 5 second sound signal "Beep" followed by 3 sec silence and same signal indefinitely.Power supply seems fine.Fans working.Electrical outlets/cables all fine. How do I fix

Thanks,
Naomi

Naomi, this will probably require a computer technician to fix. What you are hearing is a "beep code" that the motherboard produces when there is a problem. Your first step should be to read this HP document about beep codes and follow the instructions you find there. Please post back with your results.

Find Hidden Email Accounts on a Computer
Trust in a relationship, whether parent-child, between spouses or at work, is sometimes put to the test.
When one party feels that trust has been abused, he might want to ease his doubts.
New technology makes it possible to effectively hide email accounts, but most people do not use or understand this technology.

Check the history on your Web browser for free email sites like mail.yahoo.com, hotmail.com or gmail.com.
Most of the time nontechnical users do not realize how much information is contained in the browser history.
When searching the history, most free email accounts will show up with the various user names that were used to connect to them.
It is easy to differentiate between regular email accounts and new suspicious ones.
Check her regular email accounts.
Most free email accounts have the option to enter a trusted email address to be used in case the user loses her password, or to warn her if that information changes on the account.
Checking for such email is easy and quick.
Do a search on the account for words like "welcome," "yahoo.com" and "gmail.com" to check for communication from free email providers.

Check for instant messaging logs.
All major free email accounts have free instant messaging such as yahoo messenger, msn and gmail talk.
Each of those messaging services have logging options that save the live chats to the hard drive. If you have an instant messaging software installed, check to see if the logging option is turned on.
Check in the software where the log is saved and go to that location.
Installing messaging software usually creates one folder named after each account to store the logs.
Check for virtual machines on the computer.
More technical people might be tempted to install a virtual machine that allows them to have a dedicated operating system to use as their own.
If you have a virtual machine software such as Vmware, Virtualbox or Virtual PC, try to boot any operating systems present and do the same searches done on the main computer.
Install a key logger on the computer to monitor activity taking place during anonymous browsing. Modern browsers have an anonymous browsing mode that does not record anything done while turned on.
It is easy, however, to install a key logger that will record everything the user types on the keyboard.
It will allow you to discover any email accounts accessed during anonymous sessions.

Acer pc and lg monitor blank screen says power save mode on start up, anyone know how to fix this?

Actually during start-up there is a slight delay before the HDD & OS is detected by the CPU. Normally all monitors slip into power saving mode within 10 secs of inactivity of either mouse or keystroke. This inactivity is read by the monitor which promptly switches to power saving mode. However the moment the HDD LED starts blinking, the monitor wakes up & starts displaying. This power saving mode in most of the flat screens is only associated with movement of mouse or keypad. This does not register till the CPU starts up & thats why the monitor switches over to power saving mode till it starts receiving signal from the CPU.
It is a normal behaveour, so don't get worked up over it, plus you can always hit the Auto set feature on the monitor after booting the PC completely. ( I think the time out for the monitor to enter power saving mode is only 10 secs). Hope this helps.

My computer beeps and doesnt send a signal to the monitor or keyboard. When it does send signal it says entering power save mode on monitor. what do i do to get it to boot?

Sounds like you may have a bad memory module. If you have more then 1 memory module installed in the computer try removing one at a time to see if one is shorting your computer. Make sure the power is OFF when removing memory.

Sounds like a bad graphics card. Try using monitor wit another computer and see if the problem still exists. This rules out the display.

Monitor keep going into "sleep" mode

Check the power setting in control panel of windows. If you have a monitor from another computer swap them and see if the problem stays with the computer or monitor.

My Gateway 500s monitor is stuck in power save mode

Try tapping the F8 key while booting the computer, you will get the start up menu, choose safe mode, when you log on, go to the display settings, that is right click on the desktop, properties, screen saver, advanced and make sure that hibernation is off, along with turn off disks or whatever , probably see turn off monitor after XX minutes, I make ours 15 minutes (150 computers and servers), I don't let the disks turn off. Choose always on also, not home/office. Try this and see if these settings help.

My computer crashed and now the monitor goes into power save mode

You said that you hear a series of beeps, if you hear this kind of sounds maybe there is a loose connection from the CPU. Try to remove the Memory and put it back again.
