Hi, My wired xbox controler (not xbox360) is not responding. I tried changing the end piece that goes into the xbox but it still doesn't work. every few seconds, I am told to insert controler into slot 1 and press start.
bend the cable and have a game playing so that you know when you hit a dead spot.mark the spot that is makeing it pause.go about 3cm above and below it.take a pair of scissors and cut at the points.strip the wires and twist them together.color goes with each other color green goes with green red goes with red.i used hot glue to keep them from falling apart.just have a little come out of the nozzle then stick the wire in the nozzle.rap it in electrical tape and test it out again for bad spots.if you want to you can take a old camera usb cable and strip both ends ad attach it to the xbox controller to make a xtended cable.if you make the extender cable don't worry about the yellow wire just leabe it out///trust me this works for i have did the usb mod to my xbox and cut of the original connector and put a regular usb on the end.i now use the controller to play halo on my comp. if you got any questions please email me at gamecrazy944@yahoo.com

I'm trying to use my original Xbox with xbmc to display HD with component cables. I bought two sets of cables, tried it with two TVs, but the xbox won't display the blue color. If I pull out the blue plug, the picture doesn't change. so everyone looks sick. It happens when playing a game or using xbmc. But it displays colors fine when using the standard RCA cables (red, white, yellow). Is my xbox screwed? Do I need a software upgrade?
