Re: Memory card

Hi Harriet, you can try using a memory card reader and inserting your memory card in it and connecting it to a computer.
Then format the memory card.
I am sure it will work after that.

I want recover my photos in my 4GB SDHC Sandisk Memory Card

click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management right click on your 4gb drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes

automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start

i found best results tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive

I found that you get best results by ticking one box then returning after it has finished then tick the other box

hope this helps you

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones. Now after you've recovered your photos, consider formatting the card in the camera to prevent this from happening again.

I need to get my photos in my memory card, if i connect to pc and when i open it so " please Format" how get my photo from memory card

The dread "not formatted" error message generally indicates memory card problems. This can occur for many different reasons including a computer virus, memory card problem, power surge, or problems with the operating system. If you receive this type of error message, it is important that you act carefully to keep your important data safe.
1. Do NOT click "Yes" to format this memory card in case that the formatting process makes things worse.
2. Do NOT attempt to write anything new on this memory card in case of any data loss.
3. Download a memory card data recovery freeware to help you out:
In fact, this freeware has ever successfully saved all the inaccessible data of my friend off from his camera. So, I believe it can also work successfully on your camera memory card, too.
Simply read more information of this freeware here:
4. Do not save or back up all the restored data on the same memory card in case of any data loss.
5. After the data recovery process, simply format this memory card to see whether it can work functionally as before.
In the future, you should learn a lesson to be more careful about your data and always back it up well.

I have had success with this... Download the program

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Formatting required after taking photos on card and dont want to lose photos already on card

Did you use the camera to format the card before you shot any pictures. If not, the camera can't use the card and used its own memory to store the photos. Use the camera to format the card, then the camera can continue to shoot more photos and store them on the card. When you download them to the computer, remember to get the one from the camera too.
