Question about Dell OptiPlex GX270 PC Desktop
When i turn on my computer i hear the fans and HD but there is nothing on the monitor and the power button is solid orange.
I think that it is most likely that this is a power supply going bad. These can be purchased cheaply on eBay (make sure the picture matches). This replacement is moderately technical.
The other good possibility is a bad capacitor(s) on the motherboard. This is very common for the GX270s due to a manufacturer defect. Most of them failed in years 2-4, though. This would require a replacement motherboard (very technical). Pictures of bad capacitors: http://brianmorristech.com/?p=105
It could also be related to the power connector from the power supply to the motherboard (unlikely).
Another good option would be to buy a used GX270 from eBay and put your hard drive into it.

LOOK FOR CMOS SETTINGS OR JUST RESET JUMPERS , IF NOT THAN CHECK IF YOUR COMPUTER MEMORY SOCKET.
