My RCA DVD Recorder/VCR Combo, model #DRC8295N will not pay DVDs, - message: ''disc may be dirty, wrong region code'', etc. It will play VCRs. Any suggestions of what I can do? Where can a find an RCA dealership that can make necessary repairs?

It seems that the DVD you are trying to play is either scratched or some dirt has accumulated on the lens of the DVD player. Please check whether the player can play other discs or not. If the error comes on other discs too, we feel you'll have to get the player serviced.

The solution was helpful only in confirming what I had already figured out. I did manage to get in touch with a repair help representative of RCA who told me that my solution could be in obtaining a disc for cleaning the lens of the DVD Record/Play/VCR unit. I intend to explore this possibility. Do the optional offers to contact another expert etc. at "ASkYou" entail addtional charges? I may desire to use your service in the futhre depending on this and other questions I have. Meanwhile, I remain a somewhat confused first time customer.
