When i turn on the computer the black screen with the compaq name comes up then a square box with the words power on password and a symbol of a key and cant get passed that

To clear the Boot password. Open the case and locate the small round disc battery. Next to it will be a small plastic jumper with a board label referring to battery jumper. The jumper sits on three pins and has only two contacts. Lift the jumper and place it over the other pin keeping the center pin connected when put back on. This will short the battery supported ROM memory which is set to ask for a password. Put the jumper back and reboot the computer. It will no longer stop and ask for a Boot password. If it stops and asks for a Windows Password you will need to go to a tech to have the password removed. (This is very simple to do with a Password CD in a couple of minutes)

What's the password for phoenix bios on nec versa e6500 notebook?

try the following; phoenix, PHOENIX, CMOS, BIOS
If that does not work you have two options.
1) remove all power and all batteries for about 15 minutes (there is a battery on the motherboard) and it should reset to blank. 2) if you can boot there are various bios hack programs to reset the bios but I would only do this as a last resort. I absolutely do not trust someone to hack the bios if I can avoid it.

You need to wait a few minutes before putting it back. Also try rebooting once with the battery removed.

I have a LG dare and forgot my password to unlock my phone

The first step is to find out if the password is on your sim card. If you already know that it is on your sim card skip this step. Turn off your phone and open it up. You should see your battery. On most phones your sim card is located under the battery. When you find your sim card remember exactly how it goes into it's slot and take it out. Put the battery back into the phone and turn it back on. It will tell you that your sim card is missing and on most phones ask you if you want to start without a sim card. Press yes and see if it asks you for your password. If it does not, then the password is on yor sim card. Put the sim card back into your phone and call your service provider. Tell them that you forget the password to turn on your phone. They should be able to tell you what yor password is after they ask you a few questions. If the password was not on your sim card, then call your cell phone provider and ask them how to reset your password. Service provider: Verizon is a service provider. cell phone provider: LG is a cell phone provider.

I need the setup password for pvm266am-l

you'll have to reset the password of the bios.

Open the PC up and unplug the power, you'll see a coin like battery on the motherboard.
Take it out and wait 30sec, and then put it back in again.

and now you'll be able to go into the bios

What can i do to unlock my hp laptop,is asking me for a password and i have no idea..

Is the password being asked in the bios level or the operating system user level??? is its the bios, then u will need to take off the bios battery for ten seconds and put it back in, if its the operating system, one and best way, is to have the operating system freshly installed, or go to safemode, and enter as an administrator, and change password of users or better, elminate the passwords.

PASSWORD PROBLEMS

Hi, To access or enter motherboard BIOS settings, on powerup either F2 or Del. If you just want to remove the password in your Dell Optiplex > The BIOS password may be cleared by removing the password jumper (PSWD) on the motherboard. This will also clear all CMOS settings: Open your casing, on your motherboard. find the CMOS password reset jumper (3-pin) on the motherboard; Remove the jumper from pins 1 and 2 and put it on pins 2 and 3 for about 5 seconds. Replace back the jumper on pins 1 and 2. Hope this be of help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.
