Battery power vs. DC power

I have misplaced my manuel for the binos, does any thing have to be done when going from battery to DC and back to battery. The old bino's had a dummy plate that had to be put in before DC use. Does the bino's switch automatic?

I have the same problem.

Suggest a new solution for this problem
