My sansa e260's recovery mode doesnt work..it just stops in "USB Cable connected"...and when i plug it in the pc...the pc says "Unrecognized USB Device"..Help...The player works well but i cannot add new...

Try this:
1: Open "My computer".
2: Connect your unit to your computer
3: Right click on the MP3 icon
4: Click on "format"
5: Choose "quick format"

Keep in mind, this will fully restore your unit back to factory fresh, and you will lose all your files.

My computer doesnt recognize the mp3 when plugged in. how to solve this problem?

You need to isolate the problem first. Try the following:

1. Connect the MP3 into different USB ports of the computer.
2. Connect the MP3 into another computer.
3. Try using another USB cable to see if the cable is working corrently.

If the problem is isolated with the MP3, then you need to reformat and upgrade the programs in it. But I would suggest to contact the manufacturer because they know what is the best program that would work properly with your device.

Have a great day!

My thing that hooks up from the mp3 to the computer wont work or somthing every time i plug it in it doesnt charge and the computer doesnt aknowledge it also i cant open up the phillips mp3 on my computer

If it's a standard cable, it's a USB to mini USB cable. Have you tried a different cable with similar ends? Also, have you tried a different USB port on your computer?

No connection

Make sure that the MP3 player has a fresh battery if it isn't a rechargeable battery through your USB port. Second, try switching the cables from 1 USB to another. If that doesn't work, plug it into the USB and shut down the PC and restart it. It very well may pick it up from that point.

Insignia mp3

Please provide more information on the error message.

You can use Windows Explorer to transfer files to your insignia sport player. First, in the settings on your player, go to Settings, USB Mode, Connection Type and select File & Folder. Then, plug your player in to your USB cable. Windows XP should automatically find your player and make a new drive letter in Windows Explorer. Simply drag and drop your mp3 files from your c drive to the new drive for your player. You'll notice that when you delete the files on your new drive for your player that it doesnt remove them from your player. You'll need to use your player (settings, system, erase internal) to erase internal (and external), but after that when you add new files, they will be added to the player when it does the profiling after you disconnect the USB cable. There might be a problem with your USB cable, such as a broken wire, and not the MP3 player itself.
