Put ear right to speaker to see if hum etc----if opened look to see if speaker paper is gone from old age---last is if it has a earphone jack on set that can cause this also.
IF YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WHAT I HAD WITH MY 3 YEAR OLD SURE E3g EARPHONE THAT ONE SIDE IS NOT LAUD ENOUGH......
I DID TRY ALL THE CLEANING WITH THE PROVIDED TOOL BUT ALL DID NOT HELP.
I DID USE A KNIFE AND DID SLOWELY FOLLOW THE GROVE ARROUND THE TIP OF MY BAD EARPHONE. AFTER A FEW MIN. WORKING WITH MY KNIFE IN THIS GROVE I DID FEEL THAT THE EARPHONE WILL COME APART. THE TIP HAS NO CONNECTIONS (ELECTRICAL SPEAKER WIRE CONNECTIONS) NOTHING IT IS JUST THE EARPHONE PLASTIC TIP. AFTER I HAD THE TIP IN MY HAND I USED A NEEDLE AND I GOT A LOT OLD EAR WAX OUT AND MY EARPHONE IS VERY LOAD AGAIN. NOW CLEAN BOTH SIDES AND PRESS THE TIP BACK ON. IF YOU FEEL BETTER USE A DROP SUPER GLUE TO BE SURE IT WILL NOT COME APART AGAIN AND STUCK IN YOUR EAR. I DID NOT USE ANY GLUE.
I HOPE THIS DID HELP YOU TO CONTINUE TO LISTEN YOUR MUSIC WITH YOUR SURE E3g EARPHONE
Put a plug in the earphone port and wiggle it . Could be the little gadget inside is stuck. I had a tv that did that and ended up disconnecting the ear plug port.
Unfortunately due to the size of the drivers it would be unrealistic to repair. You would have get a speaker from another pair of earbuds and re-solder the connection to the wire.
It would be more efficient and cost effective to replace the earbuds.
Try the following:
Press -> * <- <- * <- *("->" is a right arrow key on your joystick)You can test your earphone from this menu, scroll down and click "earphone" and try changing volume. If you hear nothing, than your earphone is dead and it needs to be replaced.
If you are handy at repairing electronics, you can splice the white cord open and re-solder the wire if it is loose. However I NEVER use the iPod earphones - reason being is when I listen to a song on my iPod and the dial slips past 80% then speakers usually blow. I would buy a pair of Skullcandies, I have 2 pairs and they have never blown. They are only $14.99 at any Target/Walmart and you can definitely save yourself the hassle. Those earphones brand new at stores such as Radioshack are about $29.99, and are very mediocre.
yoiu likely have a sound output selection in you setup menu .. or in some sets they sense the fact that ear phones are plugged in (switch in the ear phone jack) .. and that automatically shuts off the main speakers .. sometimes the ear phone jack gets damaged and the set thinks there is always an earphone plugged in .. if thats the case then the jack would have to be replaced or repaired ... or you could for the time being, run a cable from the ear phone jack to an external amplified speaker (like a computer speaker .. that would get your sound back at least until repairs can be made ..
1- Probably the problem is with the speaker = change the in-built speaker OR 2- The problem is with the earphone jack. = Check if a headphone sign is there on the screen. If yes... then connect & remove headphone/ear-set jack into your mobile few times till the headphone sign is gone from the mobile screen.
sometimes the phone thinks there are earphones plugged in
try plugging earphones in then unplugging again
also try volume up and down and it will display earphone on screen
keep plugging in and out until it does not say earphone on volume
if that doesnt work restart phone
This is an ongoing problem with Denons, if only your screw fell out like mine, you have to do the following to screw it back in properly.
1. You have to remove the ear cups from the head band part. 2. To do (1), you have to remove the styrofoam ear **** (the soft leather part) by press down on the soft part and rotating it counter-clockwise. 3. With the ear **** removed, you will see a total of 8 screws. 4 are flat and on a higher plane, and other 4 are inside holes. Unscrew the 4 that are bigger and on the higher plane. This will remove the plastic round back from the ear ****. 4. With the big round plastic part removed, you will now have the space to properly screw in the fallen screw. 5. Make sure to use Lock-tite to hold the screw in place so it doesn't fall out again.
