I have an e-all-in-one printer. Can I turn this OFF without causing problems with normal printing?

Hi invest in a HP 3630 printer aprox price $40 to $50 & download HP ePrint app & u can print out photo's ( DIRECT ) TO PRINTER NO WIFI or cables needed....if u r running wifi on tablet u have to go into settings turn of wifi & turn on ePrint to connect with printer,cheers

where are you, at home, or in CAFE , or ? what?
where are you then say, printer is at home or work or?

ePrint is very unreliable, but do go for it, (grin)
but read how it works and the zillions of folks cant make it work
gee. (it prints via the internet, and is complex and fails)
you say in Target print to HP Eprint cloud, then it sends
data to your HOME PC, and the home PC then sends data
to this silly printer, (that is how this mess works and is complex)

so what to do.
well reload all the HP software that came with that magic printer.

but reset it, per the manual, if set in usb mode, or wifi
you MUST reset it and change it to what you want now.

and do a fresh install..HP.

adding wifi to all this makes it 10x more hard.
WIFI can fail for interference, (others on your channels)
or you too far from your wifi router.

I assume it is an HP printer. I also assume error is 901 server error connection when trying to print. Based on these assumptions, you should set up ePrint.

Follow the steps below to reset network defaults

1. Press Setup button
2. Scroll to Wireless Menu
3. Scroll down to Restore Network
4. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnect the printer to your network
5. Press the ePrint icon on the upper left hand of screen
6. Follow the instructions to setup ePrint

Hello Martha. It depends on the wi-fi printer as to whether it can support an Android or iPad iOS device. For example, Hewlett-Packard has a series of printers with "ePrint" that support smartphone printing. Epson has the "Epson Connect" apps for mobile devices and their WorkForce and XP all-in-ones natively support smartphone (iPhone actually) printing without using the Internet (Cloud). And Google offers "Cloud Printing" that uses your Google account (of course) to connect your printer to your smartphone.

You don't say which operating system you are using.

The print buffer is an area where the printer stores a small list of the instructions given by the user ahead of what it is doing in real time (for example you can press print for 2 or 3 different documents while the printer is printing the first one and the printer will keep and remember the information for the subsequent documents in its buffer and print them in sequence, when it has finished printing the current document).

Feel free to add a comment to this question to explain the problems you are having with your printer, if this answer does not cover your specific problem.

Your printer has a small memory cache built into it that can store several pages of printing and print instructions ahead of what it is printing in real time. In the event of an error the memory cache can become full and be in a state where it accepts no more instructions.

If this happens:

Start (Contorl Panel) > (category View) > Hardware & Sound > Printer > double click on yhe printer's icon > highlight and cancel any documents pending > power off the printer > disconnect the printer cable > restart the computer > power the printer on > reconnect th eprinter cable > test print.

Error no 5200 is caused by its temperature high.. to solve your problem follow the instruction given below::

1. Turn Off printer, cable power still plug in.

2. Press Stop/Reset button, don't release the button.

3. Press Power button by holding without release and than release Stop/Reset Button.

4. Press Stop/Reset button two times (2x) now release the Power Button.

5. Wait until service mode to zero (0).

6. Turn off the Printer, cable power still plug in.

7. Press Stop/Reset button, don't release it.

8. Press Power button don't release & than release Stop/Release button.

9. Press Stop/Reset button four times (4x), wait until service mode to "1"

10. Turn off printer, and loose cable power, wait for one (1) minute.

11. Connect cable power, turn on printer again, now this printer ready to use.

To print from an iPad you will need to either have a printer that is compatible with Apple's Airprint or have an app that allows you to print through your network.
