Re: External Flash can't fix

Its becoz that flash is not compitable with your camera. You should buy only flash that are compitable with your camera.

I have a Canon EOS 40D camera. We are having problems with using an external flash. The pictures always come out extremely dark with the external flash. The flash seems to work fine, it flashes...

I don't know if this will help and this post is two months old. The camera store may be right that the synchronization is the issue which tends me to point a finger at the external flash. There are at least three different flash units that will flash when the picture is made but only one type will sync with the camera. A digital flash unit is different from a film flash so a Canon EX type is required to sync with Canon TTL or TTL II digital cameras. An EZ will flash but it's off a bit, so I can only assume that your Promaster and Canon flash units are for film cameras. Okay and another thing that could be throwing things off a bit is the camera may have been programed in Custom Functions to use "Second Curtain" or "Rear Curtain". Just seams to me if the built in flash works then it's the external units at fault.

Many digital cameras (eg Samsung D53, Nikon 2100) have extremely poor battery life with alkaline batteries (under 20 shots!). Sometimes they won't even take a single picture.

Try using rechargeable batteries or "oxyride" disposable batteries. They perform infinately better.

How can my c750 detect external flash?

Please read the manual about using manual mode. The external flash mounted on hot shoe fires only when the camera is in manual mode.
Please check and confirm if this solved yr problem.

Same SD card problem with Dimage Z5

Your Card may need to be formatted. to fix this problem:
[note- before you start, make sure that your SD Card is blank, or that the information is unimportant, because formatting your card will erase all of the information.]

1) Plug the card into your computer, if you can, in the SD slot, or use a USB - SD transformer to plug your card into a USB port.

2) After its plugged in, go to 'My Computer'.

3) Right Click on the drive its plugged it into

4) press format

5) Make sure all of the correct settings are on and start the format.

now your SD card is formatted and should work in your camera and you can continue taking pictures. YEA :^)

The odds are you have a broken spring in the anti-shake assembly which has allowed the lens unit to shift to one side. The smudge you are seeing is the edge of the lens housing and will have a slight rounded shape. As you zoom in, you are extending the lens past this area so it no longer shows.
