1. The sd card has on it a small write protection button. Check his status
2. Card reader maybe has a problem. Checkit with another card and see if work

What I must do, to format a memory card which is protected, by using a computer?

Check to see that the write protect tab on the SD card is in the unlocked position. Hold the card so that the label is facing you with the angled corner to the top right. Look along the left edge and find the very small slider switch. Slide the switch up (down is locked and up is unlocked)

What type of memory card?

If it's a Secure Digital card, there's a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?

Hi,

1. Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?
= This is probably because the format that your songs are currently in is not supported by your device. Supported devices on the Mach Speed Eclipse 180 MP3 player are: mp3, wav, and wma. If your music is for example filename.cda, it won't be able to play because of the file format being .cda.

2. I also see the song on the eclipse but it says drm protected and will not play the song.
= When ripping your music, check your ripping options in whichever ripping software you are using that protecting music files is off, this may be the reason why your music cannot play - it may be protected to only play on the computer that ripped(recorded or duplicated) the song.

Device not reading sd card loaded music

try putting sd card back into a pc and check that the write protection is turned off. also if it has a write protection switch on the side of it it will need to be off. failing this. you may need to check what format the sd card was formatted in . it will need to be ntfs formatt not fat32. if it is fat32 ,save whats on it re format to ntfs then reload your files. try again.. cheers Phixxer.

Won't read music

Check and make sure that the format you are trying to play is compatible with the player. For instance, iTunes files won't work with this player.

Also, you could be trying to load DRM-protected files from a service like Bearshare. Yuur screen will tell you the files are transferring, but they are really not transferring b/c they have DRM protection. There is not currently a free way that I know of to remove this DRM-encryption, although you can probably buy download rights from your music service.

Unfortunately, the ILo site is down, so their is no way to get a firmware upgrade in case this model is another victim of the Windows Media Player upgrade - WMP 11 messed up a lot of mp3 players regardless of manufacturer.

Del songs

You can format the device thru My Computer.

My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Right Click and select FORMAT.

If you cant format this way, change the MODE on the device nad try these steps again.

Best of Luck.

Mp3/mp4 player

Hi, Go to my computer, right click removable disk, format it using file 32 method, then wait for the process to complete. It will report back that format is completed. You will then have to transfer your music again, and it should be ok. If it continues, maybe your songs are protected. If this is the case, try to deselect protection on the windows media.
