To original question and the first answer, that is not normal. There is something going on related to the refrigeration. If it should take 10 minutes to freeze down, and a machine runs 15, and everything else remains the same the product in the barrel should be frozen solid. If it's air cooled you could have dirty condensers, restricted air flow or it just may be too hot. You probably need a refrigeration tech to look at that machine. If it runs twice as long as it should, how much do you think that's hurting your power bill?

If you need a part to fix your machine you can find it here. Soft Serve Parts C713

This is normal if you just started the machine up from room temperature to freeze a batch, just reset it and it should not reappear , if you didn't and it's been running for days then your refrigerant is low or your cooling tubes are blocked with goo

Brush Cleaning did not clear the (L / R) HPR> 45F (7C) AFTER 1 HR fault on my Taylor Model C723 soft serve ice cream freezer.

Certain conditions must be met. The machine needs to be empty. The freezer door must be off the machine. The power switch must be off. Once the machine is off, a 5 minute countdown will show. It will also show 4 temperature readings. All 4 of them must be above 60 degrees F. before the countdown will start. Once the counter reaches zero, the Brush Clean Cycle will be reset along with any temperature vs. time error codes. If at any time, one of the temp readings drop below 60 degrees F. before the end of the 5 minute countdown, the countdown will reset to 5 minutes and the machine will not reset. Generally, the freezing cylinders take longer to come to temperature. Even when you run warm water through it first, there is sometimes enough residual cold to bring the temperature back below 60. A successful Brush clean Cycle will display "Power Switch Off---Unit Cleaned" and the 2 digit green display under the main display will reset to 00. if this happens and you turn the machine back on and you are hit with the same message then you may have an issue with one of your boards.

For the Taylor C709-27 soft serve machine - what does it mean when someone says it wont go in the heat cycle overnight?

The Taylor C709 is a Heat Treat machine. Most soft serve machines have to be cleaned out every 3rd night and sanitized. Heat Treatment machines heat the mix up to a high temperature that kills bacteria and allows you to disassemble and sanitize the machine much less often. I can't tell you why, but the machine you are dealing with isn't running that heat cycle.

Compressor hpco

Compressor hpco or (High Pressure Cut Out) means the high side pressure has went over the limit the machine has been set too. The safety is there to protect the compressor. If the machine is water cooled, the water flow has most likely been interrupted. So often the machine was moved for cleaning and the wheel is on the water hose. If the machine is air cooled, Either 1. the fan has stopped, 2. the condensers are dirty or 3. It's just too hot where you are trying to run the machine.

Beater overload

if your mix level is low ice cream will freeze in cylinder which in turn will over amp the beater and cause it to trip. Check mix pump and make sure all orings are good.If mix isnt leaking out make sure it is pumping in.

I loaded the machine with mix and turned it on but machine keeps on turning but mix is still very watery

My small Business had this same problem. The first thing you need to look at is the product you are using. It turns out that if you are making your own soft serve. which Includes water and powder, it will save you a lot of time and stress to switch to cartons of soft serve that you just pour right in. It turns out that there is no consistency in powder icecream. the water will eventually separate from the mix, resulting in watery soft serve once dispensed from the machine. Next, if this isn't the prduct you are using then it can be other problems such as your compressor not working, or turning on when it's suppose to, maybe you have a weak motor, or your machine isn't set to the proper freeze level, Also, make sure that your machine isn't backed up against a wall or I between two other machines. These machines need to Obsorb cool air in order to work properly and not overheat . The machine's fan, which is located on the right side, needs to be have a certain amount Of space from walls or other machines. If this doesnt work you can always call a technition to come and check out the machine, I hope this helped, best wishes with your repair

Need replacement parts

Unfortunately, Nostalgia Electrics has stopped (AGAIN!) production of the ICM-517 and ICM 562 Soft Serve Ice Cream Makers. And the company customer service is a "bear" to get a call back from. You could go to the Helman Group, LTD website or the Nostalgia Electrics website and click on customer service and type in your request, but don't expect a quick answer. And there is an 800 # to call also, but you will only get the voice mail and leave a message. No live person, just a call back, if you're really really good and really lucky. It's a shame they have so much trouble with these, they seem to do well with the Popcorn machines, cotton candy, and drink machines, hot dogger, ect. You'd think they could debug this one too. Kindest regards, Joe.
