I thought Opta Corp in CA went private in 2006. It licensed the GoVideo brand to GPX in late 2006, and GPX became DPI in early 2007 ... who provide no recognition or support to the GoVideo ( earlier brand DVD recorder/video products formerly under Opta Corp .

Cannot contact GoVideo via email or phone numbers in manual. Their website does not exist. I have operational questions for their tech support. How to contact GoVideo or someone who knows the product.

I went to, looked up customer assistance, and called them. They said they bought the govideo license, but don''t have any manuals or other govideo product information/materials. Very disappointing. zoe

I cannot play DVDs.

This brand is already out in business.

A firmware upgrade is needed to make your GoVideo reads the dvds.

If you can post here the model number of your DVD/VCR, maybe we can help you find the last firmware update that the manufacturer released before they shutdown their business.

Go-Video has been going through some trying times. They were based in Scottdale, AZ but their old website is no longer up. I did find a new website: The contact information says Go-Video is currently owned by DPI, Inc. based in St. Louis, Missouri. Telephone number listed is (314)621-3314. Good Luck.
