Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
If a dialogue box appears then it is probably looking for a file. The file should be mentioned in the box. You need to direct the box to the file that it is looking for. This could be happening for a few reasons. An installation error could cause it or missing/corrupted files.
One of these two things might help:
1) If it is asking for a CD during setup and you are installing from a download then browse to the folder that you downloaded the driver in.
2) If it is asking for a CD while printing then the application may not have installed correctly. Insert the CD for the printer (or go to the folder where you downloaded the driver for the printer) and search for the file that it is requesting there.
If you do not have a copy of your printer driver or are unsure about it's location you can download your driver from the HP website. Use the Service and Support portion of the website to search for your model of printer.
I hope that this information has helped.
