Question about Philips MX3660D3799 System

1 Answer

Philips mx3660d My husband was looking in the internal menu (I think that's what he called it) and accidently selected something. Now we don't have a picture, just a blank screen. We get sound, but no picture on the DVD. Can you help. We have looked at the manuel and tried everything. Thank youmommy2kota@comcast.netAlycia

Re: philips mx3660d

Progressive scan is turned on. Reset the player first, and then follow the instructions in the manual step by step without skipping a single detail - you are flying blind (without picture), so a single omission from the directions will cause this procedure not to work.

I have a philips HTS3051B/F7 home theater system that the tray opens a little then says blocked and won't open anymore. What can be the problem.

Has a child put something in it?
It could also be something that has accidently got lodged in the mechanism. Another possibility is that a gear wheel or another part of the mechanism has broke, or worn away.

No sound is coming out

Look for a button on the unit or remote for turning speakers on end off, Or when you go into the unit menu, Watch with the functions if it stays something about the speakers, Turnig them on or off, If you don,t come across any of this stuff, Get a manual for it, End see if you can find any thing about it in the manual, In the trouble shooting (Section) If you don,t have a manual for it, Try manuals

Cant get my tapco link midi 4x4 to be found by my PC w/vista.

TapcoLINK help:
I found this on

Ok first thing. Unplug any USB devices not pertinent to recording when you want to record. Second, left click Start->right click Computer and select properties. Left click on Device Manager (left column). Look for your Tapco mixer and see if it has any red X or error message. It might be that it isn't completely installed correctly. Also in the Device Manager at the top, click View and select Show Hidden Devices. Look for something under "non plug and play devices" (I think) called Mackie Subunit or some garbage like that. I'm traveling so I don't have any Mackie gear to plug in to verify. Anyway, this is the bit that actually interfaces with the Windows sound in Vista and Win7. You may have to manually install the driver as Windows says it doesn't need one. Right click and select update driver.
-Browse my computer for driver software
-Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
-Click "Have Disk" and browse to whatever folder you dowloaded the Tapco drivers to.

Can hear sound, can't see picture

Try the easy reset - power the tv off and unplug it from the wall outlet for 20-30 seconds. Then replug it and turn it back on.

No sound when connecting to TV

I just figured it out right now. Press the "AUX/DI" button twice. When you push it once, it selects the "AUX" input and when you push it a second time, the screen will show that you've selected the "DI" input.

Thanks to Phillips for not making a theatre system that automatically selects for you... =P

Lost remote

I would refer to p. 9 of your manual. You can switch sources on the unit itself, but not bring up the settings menu. if still in warranty, call Philips for new remote
