Thanks for your proposal: I'm going to uninstall/reinstall my printer and its sofware again ( I've already done that without a success).

I shall send you the results of the operation.

I accept Ekse'solution to look into my PC.
However his last item "go to http://ekse.pp.fi" is ineffective.
I trust in you and Ekse and I hope not to be disappointed by my choice.

Sounds like it would be best to reinstall the printer, should return all settings on the computer to normal, here are the instructions.

First make sure you have the installtion cd for the printer there with you or you can get it from
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=295848&taskId=135

Then open printers and faxes - press Start -then printers and faxes OR control panel -> printers and faxes.

Delete the Hp printer printer from the list by right clicking on it and selecting delete, if you have the same printer there more than ones, remove all entries.

Now uninstall the software for the printer - start -> control panel-> Add or remove programs or uninstall programs. Find the HP fromthe list and uninstall, you may also want to uninstall the programsthat came with the printer cd.

Unplug the printer from thecomputer. Restart the computer.

Ones the computer is runiing again Run the setup (cd or download) andinstall the printer, plug in the printer when asked.

When the printer is installed it should work again. To be safe, restart the computer again and then try printing and scanning should also work normally.

Are you still unable to scan? if so, then all the software was not removed.

use revo uninstaller to completely remove the HP programs from your computer and then repeat the solution

take it to a service center, some "power board chip" won't solve your problem.

  • Ekse Jul 22, 2009

    Hi again

this problem has noting to do with parts on your printer and you don't need to replace " a power chip " the problem seems to be on the computer.

I could look into the problem over remote support ( I could see the screen and move the mouse to sort out the issue ) If you are itrested please email me at nikoht@gmail.com when your available and I can try to sort the problem.

Hello there, the power board the other person refers to is the main circuit board inside the machine. It's basically rebuilding the entire printer. You'd be much better off just replacing it.

Thanks

Tim

Sounds like either your toner or your circuit board is bad. I just want to let you know that Service Pack 3 is still in Beta (testing stage) but doesn't mean anything will happen.
You can order the parts direct from the company. Or another place you may choose.

Its the problem of power board chip.which get the command from the pc when you give a print command.that chip is malfunctioned.so the printer is behaving like that.the power supply board needs replacing.it will cost you near to $20 for this spare board.you can get it at local electronics shop or at printer reparing and part store. this will help.also if the cartridges are near to at its end of life same problem happens.so if the cartridges are old get it replaced with new.if its new then power board replacement. thanks.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated

Hi I am Vortash I am unaware of what you have actually tried with this problem . however it sounds to me as if you have a corrupt program driver .. you might try uninstalling both the printer and the driver .
Dissconect the printer entirely from the computer , and install the new drivers .. go to the add printer section and delete any printer icons on there .
Go to programs ..Control panel. .. system .. Hardware .. Device manager ..look for printers .. right click on the icons for the installed printers if there ( not all register in device manager ) and uninstall . close device manager and go back to desktop closing all programs just opened .
finally go to control panel again .. add and remove programs .. and uninstall the printer drivers for your printer if shown .. if not check if they are in the program files and use the delete program in the printer files .. You should now have erased all connection with your printer ..

RE Install .. Turn off your computer and with the printer connected re start .... Your windows program should find your printer and ask for the driver disk if you dont have them download from the support site of your printer and save to desktop ( easier for you to find when installing ) .. install print drivers
then let the windows hardware manager do the rest and follow the instructions .. you may want to install the drivers first but it wont matter you can do it as you re install the printer .. hope this is of help to you regards Vortash

I have an hp psc 2110. I made some enlarged

Some basic steps to begin with:
1. Disconnect the printer from the computer and power off then back on. In some cases the problem can be caused by the print spooler on the computer.

2. If the problem persists, power off the printer and remove the power adapter. Leave the printer sit for 10 minutes or so, allowing the internal memory to clear, After which you should hook the printer back up and reconnect to the computer.

Finally determine if the printer is being recognized, on vista or windows 7 you can do this by clicking 'start' >> 'devices and printers'... or on xp 'start' >> 'control panel' >> 'printers and faxes'
If it is not listed as connected on the list (ie. offline) try uninstalling the printer and rerunning the drivers.

Printed pages are blank ie without text

Please make sure that you have removed and alignhed the printheads.

Forgive me for asking this, but roughly speaking about 80 to 95% of problems involving ink or toner are resolved by the following:
Are you using a factory new ink cartridge supplied by the manufacturer of the printer?
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.

Hi,

I undertand that you are receiving a blank page when printing from computer.

Please follow the below given instructions to get the issue resolved which is caused due to DEP feature of Operating sytem.

Disable the Data Execution Prevention in Windows XP and check by following the below steps:

1. Click on Start

2.Control Panel->System->Advanced->Performance->Settings->Data Execution Prevention

It needs to be set to "Turn on for essential windows programs only", which is the default.

If you set it to "Turn on for all programs except those I specify", then the all-in-one driver stops working and you get blank pages.

1) Right-click on My Computer, and select Properties.

2) Click on the Advanced tab.

3) Under Performance, click Settings.

4) Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.

5) Select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: option.

6) Click Add....

7) Browse to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpzeng05.exe
Or
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpzeng07.exe

and click Open.

8) Click Apply.

9) Click OK, and OK again.

Then restart the computer so as the chages to be effective
