Hp compaq nx6110 wireless problem

My laptop's wireless connection is fine when working with wall socket power but drops in every 2 mins when working with battery. I checked several times with HP tech support, they couldn't find the reason and/or solution to it. Do you have any ideas? battery no strong enough ?!

Nope - battery is not the problem. Most likely problem is that the wireless radio is using POWER SAVE MODE which shuts it down (or lowers the output power) in times of low network activity to save power. Check in CONTROL PANEL -> SYSTEM -> DEVICES -> NETWORK ADAPTERS -> (wireless card name) - PROPERTIES and then look for an entry in CONFIGURATION and so forth called POWER SAVE and disable it. It might also be controlled through a third party software program running on your machine (something like "Intel wireless configuration" that may also be running in your system tray) - investigate that and look for an entry that says "allow the wireless card to shut down to save power".

Good luck.
