Hi there. I was wondering...I lost my remote for this TV. I bought 3 different Universal remotes and tried to program it and all three actually turned the TV off during code search. However, after that...it was extremely difficult to use the remotes for this TV. If I stand like a foot away they all will work. However, if I try to move further away.....it will only work 2 out of ten times. Help?

The problem is likely with the remote receiver itself, p/n 0778000003 - It's about a $15.00 part if you can replace it yourself.

It might be less costly to go to the Emerson web site, locate your model and check what remote control it answers to. Then buy the specific one.You can also go to a store that sells the particular model, take the refrences for the remote (model and Part number) and order it.
One thing though: It seems strange that a remote control made by Emerson, for a TV made by Emerson, cannnot, cannot activate an Emerson TV. Could it be a manipulation error? Just a thought.

I succeeded is using the DirectTV remote control for the Emerson 42" plasma TV, by using a Samsung code. On my TV, was 10060. If this one does not work, there are a bunch of others that might work. Good luck
