Can someone tell me how to replace the door latch, I bought a new one but how do I get the old one out. I have already removed the plastic inner face plate.

The bottom plastic latch broke off. Hence the microwave will not operate when the door is closed as it does not engage the security function. I just need to know how to install the new latch which I already bought. Thank you so much.

After any door work, you must use a microwave detector. So I suggest you contact a service company or take to a repair store.

Do the freezer latches have heaters ? my latch is icing up

There is a Mullion heater designed for that Kolpak that's actually installed inside the inside face on the door jamb. Kolpak may be willing to give you pointers but its best to let your refrigeration tech check it out. If its shorted you might be grabbing a door with 115 volts on it. Usually water from melted ice gets inside there and causes the heater to fail and short to ground. Hope this helps and good luck.

HOW DO I REPACE D00R SEAL

To replace your seal you'll have to remove the screws around the perimeter of the door's inner panel. Once all the screws are off separate the inner panel from the old seal and peel the seal away. It should peel away easily- if not use a Putty Knife to remove it.

Now take your new seal and "soften" it up a little by placing it in hot water for 10 minutes or so. It'll make it easier to place back in the correct position around the door since the seal was probably all twisted up and sharply folded doing shipping/storage.

Now simply lay it back in the same position the old seal was making sure there are no folds, creases or cuts in the seal. It must lay flat or it will leak all over again. Note: there is a sealant that you may want to get that's specially made for these seals to guaranty the seal gaps are filled and the seal stays in place. I use "Kitchen and Tub" Caulk when I don't have any refrigerator caulk available.

Now reassemble the door inner panel, your new seal, and the outer door all together with the screws you previously removed and you're all done.

If you need more info an excellent source is "Appliance Parts Pro". http://www.appliancepartspros.com/parts-for-frigidaire-ffu14k0dw0.html

Click on your Seal (item #1) and see the comments below that other customers asked.

Hope this helps.

Need to replace the water inlet solenoid

The Samsung side by sides and french doors have split systems meaning both freezer and ref have evaps. Your water reservoir could be frozen. They have DC heater that is attached to reservoir so it does not freeze, this could be your problem. The other problem that I have run across is the water line in the door can be frozen. If it is the door, you can check by locating where it enters the door, because it will have a quick disconnect. Disconnect water line and grab a cup and place cup under diconnected line coming from cabinet on the door and press or have someone call for water on fountain. Let me know if that helps. Thanks Logan.

I have a kenmore upright freezer model 970-254326 bought in 2011 from sears. The door opens left to right but in my tiny apartment I NEED it to open from right to left just to put things in and get th

You should see some plastic plugs or holes for mounting bolts on the opposite side of the freezer case. The latch mechanism should adapt from one side to another.
You would remove the top hinge and then lift the door off of the bottom hinge. Then you would remove the bottom hinge and switch it to the other side. Place the door onto the bottom hinge and then install the top hinge on the other corner of the case to match.
You should be able to move the handle from one side to the other. The magnets in the doorseal should work as before to keep the door closed. The interior light is usually centered on the bottom to aid in reversing the door opening.

How do I replace the door gaskets on a Delfield Model 6051 refrigerator? I can't see how to get the plastic inner panel off to release the gaskets and there is no help in the operating manual.

from what their web site shows, all of their gaskets are some sort of push in (Dart type) or clip in on a strip. Removing the inner panel is not necessary.
http://www.delfield.com/docs/uploaded/del/Parts/dpc08.pdf
go to page 36 and it shows the construction of the their gaskets.

Door doesn't close properly, leaks water

If the door seals are still pliable and intact there are two possible causes.

1/ The upper door hinge on the top of freezer unit has two adjusting screws under a plastic cover/cap which allows the upper hinge to be set forward or back altering/adjusting the spacing of the door seal to the freezer body. Moving the hinge outward at the top will cause the door to seal tighter at the bottom and lessen escaping cold air and condensation to form (water droplets). Adjust carefully so as not to create a weak seal (air gap) along other sealing edges of the door frame.

2/ Many United Refrigeration Commercial Freezers are manual defrosting. Moisture from inside the freezer can condense between the inner molded door panel (door shelves) and the exterior metal door. Usually ice buildup will occur in this space, but when defrosting or during high ambient temps the ice will melt and drip out along the bottom door edge/seal. Screws alomg the door frame (hidden by the door seal) hold the seal in place and also the inner molded door panel. The inner panel can be removed to replace the seal or to remove the ice buildup.

Bed room door locked

Take a credit card and slide it around the door latch. Slightly pull on the door as your are doing this and it should release itself. Gently push the card and work it into the latch at a slight angle. Let me know if this works.
