Sometimes it's the Internet Browser (if you are printing from an Online Software) and by clicking File ' Page Setup you can make sure margins are set to 0.1 (or as close as possible it may override you) and all six bars below (headers and footers) should be switched to Blank.
Look around in the control panel set-up parameters. You're looking for the setting 'Media Power Up'. By default it is set to 'Feed". Change this setting to 'No Motion". You'll find this in your owner's manual on page 50.
There a number of things that can cause that:
1) wrong printer driver was installed
2) cable to printer is faulty
3) wrong port was selected when the printer driver was installed
Check these and let me know!
turn printer off, press pause buton, tur on, wait 5 secunds and relese the button. He goin to print the test label, Pause. check Darkness seting, ajust if necessery. don't forget to save. To go out from the test, turn printer off and on again.
the ribbon is on the correct way?
The labels are Termal Transfer and you don't have ribbon in the printer.
The fact that the Data message is displayed, means it is 'seeing' something. You may be losing the command character at the beginning that would cause the machine to ignore the rest of your code. If this is the first time you have attempted to use the serial port, you may have a setting incorrectly set. You need to match your Host exactly or the data may be framed incorrectly. The old standard was to send your data 8 bits, 1 stop-bit and no parity. Try Xon-Xoff with hardware handshaking too. I hope this helps.
Sounds like you put your printer into line mode. Line mode prints code so you can see what is sent to the printer to look for possible mistakes in the code.
To switch from line mode back to page mode.
Turn printer off.
Press and hold the feed button down. And switch printer on.
Release the feed button when the LED flashes red.
When the LED flashes green, press down the feed button.
When the LED flashes amber release the feed button.
Try printing now that the printer is back in page mode which is used for print your labels; line mode prints the labels code.
Do this fast or else it wont work if you are slow.
