It is either static electricity, or someone has wired the plug head wrong

In either case get a qualified person to look at it pronto

How to Check a Washer when Is Not Filling With Water OTHER washers test similiarly
# Test procedures to follow when a GE Hotpoint washer is not filling

* Disconnect the washer from the wall outlet
* Set the timer dial on regular and pull the knob to turn the timer push-pull switch on
* Set the temperature switch to the cold/cold setting
* Open the controls panel to gain access to the water mixing valve solenoids
* Touch the 2 terminals on the cold water solenoid with your volt meter test proves. Make sure that your body don't touch the washer cabinet, this eliminate the chance of getting an electrical shock.
* Have someone plug the washer cord for you while you check the voltage
* The reading should be 120 volts
* Disconnect the washer from the wall outlet
* Touch the 2 terminals on the hot water solenoid with your volt meter test proves. Remember, to keep your body from touching the washer cabinet to eliminate the chance of getting an electrical shock

Have your helper plug in the washer cord again so you could check the voltage at the hot water solenoid

* The reading should be 120 volts. If you get 120 volts, this tells you that the wall outlet, the timer, the water temperature switch cold and hot water settings are working ok.

If the GE Hotpoint washer is not filling, the problem should be on the water valve, the screen filters or the water supply
If one of the solenoids is bad you will need to replace the complete water mixing valve assembly YOU SHOULD ALSO GET AN OHMS READING OR SHOW CONTINUITY WHEN TESTED UNPLUGGED ON BOTH SELINOIDS HOT AND COLD

How to avoid electrical fatal shocks?

Always keep in mind that if electricity is passed through our brain or upper portion of body where hearts & lungs are affected the electrical shock is likely to be fatal. To avoid electrical shocks and fatal shocks pl do following: 1. Don't touch electrical device or leaky cable with wet hands
2. Before doing any electrical job (even ironing) use clear hill chappal/shoe or stand on any insulator like rubber mat etc. 3. Always presume that any metalic body or cabinet or exposed metal part of an electrical device may give you shock and keep you ready with preventive measure as told above. 4. Switch off device and remove power cable wherever possible before opening/trouble shooting of electrical gadget. 4. The most important: if anybody gets a shock don't touch him/her with your hands. Just use your leg to disconnect him from electrical system. Otherwise electricity will pass through your heart making you lethal shock. 5. As neutral of a power plant is put into earth, the supply line has a tendency to close the circuit to earth through a load (conductor). Don't give any chance to make that 'load' with your body. So never touch live wire or insulate your body to stpo flow of electricity to the ground/earth and remember not to allow passing of electricity through upper part of body. 6. Don't do any electrical job after taking bath. Wet body gets very low resistance and helps in passing high amount of current during contact with live wire. Higher current through body means more danger for life. These small tips will protect you & your family members from any lethal shock. Pl teach this others also. Electrical leakage

This is called "Eddy current" and will have all electrical equipments works with AC mains voltage. If you touch on the body of your desktop computer, you will fell it there too. It won't make any harm. If you touch hard, you won't feel this. If you wish to eliminate this phenomenon completely, you should make the body of the equipment to earth. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Should I unplug my sub-zero refrigerator/freezer when we are experiencing low voltage such as a brownout.

usualy you shoukld unplug the refrigerator or any motor based instrument when there is low voltage as if the electric voltage is not enough to push the motor to run normaly the electrical back force genarated by the motor when turning will be low and the current passing through the motor will be higher with this low voltage causing the motor to in certain case to be burned.
however any cooling machine has an overtemp protection on the body of the motor wich stops the motor from runing when it is overheated but it will reconect it when the body temp goes down so several attempt like this may finally lead to burn the motor

Eziset 950 wont spin and gives slight electric shock

Possible that the motor has failed and it has developed a leak to the body which seems to be felt over the machine, Isolate the motor and test the external voltage presence.. if absent it can be related to the motor.

EKG help

Using an EKG allows doctors to measure the relative voltage of these impulses at various positions in the heart. Electrocardiograms are possible because the body is a good conductor of electricity. When an electrical potential is generated in a section of the heart, an electrical current is conducted to the body surface in a specific area. Electrodes attached the body in these areas enable the measurement of these currents. On the handheld EKG machine, when your thumbs are in contact with the dry electrodes, the palm-sized device is able to trace and record the micro-current your heart generates during heartbeats, generating the related heart function parameters (PR, QRS, ST).

Battery problem with ETRS

On the AEII Finder, there are four contacts on each side of the finder and also the ETRsi body. Clean the contacts on both sides and see if this helps. Another test to see if it's getting voltage from the battery is on the body contacts(on top of the body where the viewfinder slides on). Take a multimeter (any multimeter) and touch the ground (black) probe to any place on the body except the contacts and touch the positive (red) probe to each contact on the body and see if there is battery voltage anywhere. If you get voltage that's close to the 3 volts from the battery, then it's good. If not, there is a circuit break between battery & body and this requires a repair shop because the camera would need to be stripped down to locate the problem. Be aware that the body battery supplies voltage to the Seiko Electronic shutter and the AEII prism. Hope this helps.
