If you were able to change the day of the week by turning clockwise and now you cannot then it will probably need to be looked at by a repairer. Parts have either broken or become disengaged.

Does anybody know which way i'm supposed to wind my cartier santos watch? Options: clock-wise, counter clock-wise, or multidirectional?? thanks

mcdevito75 here, Generally your Cartier watch is wound in a clockwise direction simply, due to how it:s made, in this direction the mainspring is tightened or wound and turning the crown in a counter-clockwise position only free wheels the winding mechanism. I would advise you wind your watch in a multi direction, however not to the very, very end of It"s winding capacity, once you feel the crown getting tension only 4--5 more multi-direction turns should be enough to maintain a good wind to your Cartier watch.

I'm tryng to set the date without changing the day and time. I've tried to just pull the pin out half way but its not working. How do I do this? My watch has three dials on the face - 1)date, 2) day and 3)...

mcdevito75 here, It takes practice, the crown does have 2 positions, slip a fingernail just under the crown and lift to it"s first position this will allow you to change the DATE (number) once you get the correct Date, push tje crown back in, NOW! pull the crown out to set the DAY itself and the time. On some watches the crowns first position allows both the day and date to be changed by turning the crown in it"s first position clock wise and counter clock wise.

pull crown out once this allows you to set one of the functions by turning crown in one particular direction ..then pull out further to set next function by turning crown in one particular direction then push cronw all the way back to case side..if crown is of the screw down type you will have to unscrew it anti clockwise first then pull it out one click remember to screw it back when you finish

I can't change day of week and date on my IWC Aquatimer. When I depress and turn lower knob, nothing happens.

if its fitted with a screw down crown you need unscrew it anti clock, then pull crown out to first position and turn in either direction it should change one of the functions then pull it out to the second position and turn crown to set the other functionr remember to push crown back and screw back to case side its spring loaded on some model of AQ some models you need to pull crown in and out to change date then spin hands with crown to change day. Change the day of the week

Most watches have a stem that you pull out to set the time. The little knob on the end of the stem is called a crown. For a day/date watch, there are two clicks. The first click when you pull out the stem is the day / date setting, the second click sets the time.

When you are on the first click, twisting the crown one direction changes the day of the week; twisting the other direction changes the date. If yours has only the date, it could be either direction depending on the manufacturer.

Setting month, date, and day of the week on non-digital watch

Try pulling the stem out. Turn the stem in the counter clock wise direction and see if that changes the date/day

You should be able to pull the crown out 1/2 way and turn the crown clock-wise and you should hear a click and the calender should move one day. Don't change when the hands when the time is between 10 and 2 , just manually move the hands past that time , and re-set afterwards. If that dosn't work let me know ,.There are other types of those watches , but the way I told you is the most common.
