Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner

I have 3 duo therm units on my ****** Marquis RV. the 2 smaller units keep freezing up after 1=4 days of use. What should I look for? George

Duo therm rv air conditioner repair


Sounds like thermostat is failing. There is a factory set resistor that helps the thermostat keep a 2 degree accuracy. Second possibility is that you have a fan or direct airflow from the cooling system, being devirted, that is allowing the cool air hit the thermostat on the wall.

Either the unit is low on charge or the fileter/coils are plugged with dirt and decreasing the air flow so that is freezes

Rv unit blows cold for a few days then blows hot.


make sure temp sensor stuck in coils or unit low on Freon cannot refill
