Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

NO SOUND OUTPUT

Reasons can be:
1. you have a corrupt driver.in that case uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
2.the device or the driver is not supported by the OS.
3.check whether the speakers are working properly , hold speakers one by one close to your ear while it is on you should hear a hissing sound confirming that they are alright.
4. change the port of the sound card see if that works
5. and if none of the above works it has to be the sound card itself.
think servicing before buying another sound card.

No sound on my A105 s4334 Drivers are ok and system thinks that sound card works.

Check with a external speaker if it works, else you might have to reconfigure the sound settings in control panel..create a new user profile and check as well if it works

Sound system not working on dell vostro 1015

Usually sound problems are related with the driver ..so ..first thing to do if you think you tried all rest ..is to reinstall the driver for sound card ..to be sure you have teh correct driver ..sownload it from teh support site of the manufacturer ..and select teh exact ,model ..and operation system, you have in the laptop ..Download the driver and run it to install ..all the way ..until asks to restart ..restart it ..and it should work if the card is not damaged..
here are all the drivers for your model ..It is selected for windows xp ..but all you have to do is to select other operation system and download ..

If you run windows xp and it originally come with Vista on it ..I think you may need to run the UAA architect driver first ..and after that the audio driver ..cause for the conexant audio driver ..It may be needed..It will basically not see the audio card in xp without it ..

Windows doesn't recognize my sound card and I can't locate a driver, for it. I don't think the sound card is bad, as it worked before I reformatted my harddrive and added the software.

Install the latest Sound driver from the website.

link: support.dell.com
Click on "Drivers & Downloads",
Enter your "Service Tag",
Locate the right driver, download it.. & Install it.

Hope it works....

I take your system sound was working fine when you first got this machine. working up until they went bad. you understand what I mean they worked at one time now they don't. there for I many have download some wrong installed remove and still left some change that afects the sound driver now. It could be hardware that's easy to check buy a pci sound card 29.00 encore enm232-6bvia 5.1 channel surround sound card
put in if your sound is board your system you may disable it in your bios. disable your old hardware if can.
install your new sound card drivers and use it. if your sound is great problem solved. you will also know that your sound card o board system is provably good and you ned to do a complete reinstall remove then drivers and un install sound software. reinstall latest driver for your system sound and software packet check it. you could know a friend thats got a card you could borrow with software and drivers. save some money and the driver removal and reinstall

hopes this helps sound drives and be a nightmare. I've had mine you win by force or software luck.
please let me if I helped good luck.
