Even with my volume all the way up it is still hard to hear. My drunk friend was messing with the caption. ever since... even with the sound at maximum level we can barely hear the tv. and No im not hearing impared

Hello drive2darim,
OK first check you converter box, Cable TV/ Satellite TV volume control and turn it up to 100%.
Then check the menu on your TV for audio settings and set them to there default settings. This should take care of this issue.
