Question about Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Notebook
Computer start, booting comp.but desktop not appear
In Safe Mode , I can see only safe mode written on all four corners and screen remains dark.
Sounds like either you have a process running that is locking out the explorer shell from running properly, or you have hard drive corruption (which is getting pretty rare). Try opening task manager (control-alt-delete) in safe mode and then looking for any processes running at the top of the CPU stack, and then cancel them one by one to see if explorer (desktop) appears. Actually, if you can get task manager up, click on APPLICATIONS along the top, and then NEW TASK at the bottom and then type in EXPLORER and AFAIK it should load your desktop (or try to).
If these all fail, you want to try to re-install the OS, and also check the hard drive for corruption using diskcheck.
