Question about HP LaserJet P2015dn Printer

My printer worked flawlessly for about nine months. Then suddenly it stopped allowing printing from the network a week after the warranty expired. I reset it to Factory and reset the network. The Network Hardware configuration show status initializing. and IP Address as configuring. However there is no activity on the switch ports it is connected to. Whenever it is connected to a switch port the lights do not come on. My network scans also show no DHCP request from the printer MAC. I tested the printer on multiple working switch ports and with multiple network cables that I verified to be ok. What next. Am I out of luck. If the network module in the printer is bad can it be replaced or am I stuck with a $399 paper weight. This was a nice upgrade to my Laserjet 4 Plus. I really would like to get it working again.

My printer just stopped printing black colour. I printed heaps before going away for 1 week, then on return it just wouldnt print. Any ideas??

Is it empty and needing replaced. If not run a couple printer head clean cycles from the printer software to clean out any dried up in from being away for a week. Some cartridges also have expiration dates and the printer may not print once you are past the expiration date. Does it print anything at all, or feed the paper and not drop in on it?

I own a CP1215 which is barely a month old. It worked fine until yesterday. Suddenly, each time I attempt to print, it gets stuck as it comes out. I followed a tip I found online and close the back tray...

This might not be a solution, but rather something to get your job done if nothing else (if it works):

Try using the "manual feed" tray instead of the paper tray. Depending on where the jam is occurring in the machine, it could bypass that spot and print fine.

They to restart the print spooler service for every computer that is connected to the network that can print to the printer. Here's the procedure:

Click start menu
Click Run (for XP) or Type in services.msc to the start search bar (for Vista)Ppress enter
Look for print spooler service then double click the service
Click the stop button then wait for 5 secs then click start
Restart the computer then observe the problem

It's got to be worth reloading the printer driver as a first step.
I've had a similar situation where one machine on a network suddenly stopped printing. I downloaded the latest printer driver (you can find them here www.m-press.bizMFD.a5w then click driver downloads on the left. You be taken directly to Konica Minolta's driver downloads.

Previously working cartridge now incompatible

I have a very similar printer. It is very fussy with cartridges. Take it out and clean it with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Electrical contacts and make sure the ink dabs onto a napkin. Dont buy another HP :(

Retailers only have 30-day replacement warranty, unless you paid extended warranty from them.

Call up Kodak immediately to have that unit replaced, manufacturers have 1 year replacement warranty regardless where you purchased it.

Hp 1200 business inkjet help

I have a solution that is very similar to that printed above.
I have tested it on five installations on the computers on my home network and an HP Business Inkjet 1100, and the PCs running Win XP SP3.
Step 1) If you are setting up the printer from the HP CD, decline the question where it asks if you want to print a test page, (this will avaoid the first print job before re-setting the dates).
Step 2) Reset your clock back to a year prior to the year when your cartidge expired.
Step 3) Print a test page, or two. Or a few pages from any application.
Step 4) Reset your clock back to the current year.
The printer now prints fine. Since I performed the sequence above I have been printing with the "expired" cartridges for a few weeks. I have printed on about 15 occasions over the past few weeks, amounting to about 50 pages. No problems so far. I don't know how long this solution lasts or whether I will have to go through it again.
I have gone through a few different "solutions", including a Registry hack that didn't work, but this simple solution above has worked every time on five different installations.
I did not need to turn the printer on/off, and did not need to re-boot the computers.
However, if I sent a print job to the printer before performing the sequence described above, and the printer gave an "expired cartridges" error, then I would need to turn the printer on/off to clear the error, and flush the print queue.
