I am currently using my Philips as a stereo 2.1 system on my computer but I'm having problems, I am a music produces so I need no delays when using an audio system. The problem is that when I use the AUX input I get a delay about 50 ms and when I use the TV input I get no delay but the noise is very muffled. I unplugged one of the rca plugs from the Philip unit and it restores the sound but I get mono sound. It doesnt matter which plug I unplug(red or white) Any ideas?

cross check the audio device settings. check the audio level of each channels.
Also try exchanging the speakers whether the speaker itself is damaged.

It's the nature of the beast. The TV has to process the digital video bitstream more than the receiver has to process the audio so the result can be a gradual lagging of the video behind the sound...

Most likely the power supply capacitors are going bad.
Opening the TV and replacing any swollen caps may solve your issue.
