Question about Grandstream GXP1200 IP Phone

Phones seem slow (sometimes calls are lost)

Our company phone system has around 10 phones on the network, when an external call comes into the building sometimes it takes about 10 seconds between picking up the phone and hearing the caller! any ideas why? we were told it was because of our server but since then have moved to two separate networks (one for phones with a new server and one for PCs) but the problem remains.

3Com 3102 phone dial tone but won't dial out

As long as someone hasn't been poking around in the phone system, this is a phone company issue. I have seen this many times and it has always been a carrier issue. Typically with PRI's or integrated access analog lines.

sounds like it is a problem on the phone company side but to be sure take a phone to the NIC box where the phone line comes into the house and try it there and see if you have static still. If you do it is the phone company wires call them

I cannot open my picture messages on my htc dash 3g phone. I can recieve regular text but when I get picture messages it shows only as a call.

This seem to be a network problem, if it is there isn't much you can do on this side of the network. Contact your phone company.

I have been told by about 10 companies that our phones (Panasonic KX T7633) will not be compatible with an online system. Even though they say ?digital? on the back, they are still considered analog...

The quick call to your Panasonic dealer would have answered your question. The 76xx series is, indeed, digital. However, it is not an IP phone, nor does it communicate down an ethernet network.
There is an IP solution to the TDx/NCP system that uses IP phones, soft phones, and a VPN or Etherenet network.

Check with your dealer.

To text the philippines

The only reason that it is taking that long to reach the Philippines is because it is out of the country, and International Text Messaging takes normally around that long, unless you have a better company. What company do you use? If you have one of the major companies like Sprint,AT&T, Verizon, or Alltel, then you should be fine, but if you have MetroPCS, or Cricket, then that might be why. The other cause could be that your phone might not have good enough signal to send them instantly like they are supposed to do, and sometimes companies have network delays at times due to everyone in the world sending messages at the same time. Its just like a computer, if someone uses the network all at once, the internet will be really slow..its the same with a cell phone.

Lost puk number

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key, and it is a unique identificative code to prevent theft, or unauthorized users from using your SIM.
Even if it comes with the phone, PUK code is associated to SIM card, not to the phone.
When you input wrong SIM card pin three times , the phone will ask the PUK code.
Usually PUK is printed on a sticker inside phone box.
If you have lost your PUK code you will need to call the company that provides you the phone service when you bought the phone (eg. Vodaphone, Orange, 3, Telecom etc.).
The only alternative is going to a phone shop, they will call the phone company , get PUK and unlock your SIM.

Some phones have also an unlock code, but this is not called PUK, if phone asks for PUK you need to call phone company.
There is no way to get PUK straight from the phone.
If phone is locked with Phone Lock Code go to a local phone shop, they will connect it to a computer and get the code.
Common phone default unlock codes are 0000 for Sony Erikkson, and 1234 for Nokia.

Inter-tel Access

You definitely need to have a local phone installation company come in and help you with this. Axxess system setup and programming is extremely complicated for someone that has not worked with it and it requires specific software to make program changes. If you know the company that installed (or services) the system you should call them.
