With a volt meter hooked up to the battery ,what is the voltage with the engine running ? Should be 13. 1 to 14.1 ! Is your charge light (battery symbol ) lit with the engine running ? Is there B+ at the wire on the back of the alternator ? The small wire is the lamp driver circuit , should have B+ as well key on engine not running .
Either the battery is a dud, (cant retain a charge) or the alternator is not charging possibly due to a wire not connecting or wires incorrectly connected or both. Check voltage at the alternator (large terminal) without motor running, should be around 12 to 13 volts

Check the wire harness to the the Alternator for any loose or broken wire. Check the ground to the battery too. Good luck and hope this help's

If the original battery ever broke one of the posts, acid would have leaked into the cable end. This usually happened to the positive cable. Check for corrosion in both cables by pulling off the plastic cover on the cable ends. If if looks green in the cable end where it should be copper the cable is bad.

The battery is obviously dead either due to a bad alternator or dead cells in the battery itself. If you can drive it after its boosted to start and it runs, its most likely the battery. Get it boosted again and take it to a local auto parts store, leave it running and have them check the alternator to see if its charging.

Hook fuel pressure gauge up to port near firewall. A battery charger sometimes boosts the vehicle voltage just enough to engage weak fuel pump. Should show 50-60 lbs all the time while cranking when not starting on battery.
