Looking for info on how to hook up sub to this amp thunder4160

Hi, you have two choices for hooking up a sub to the 4160 amp. You can either connect your sub to one of the two available channels, or if the amp supports it, you can bridge channels 3 and 4 to get increased power to your sub. You have a 4 channel amp - channel 1 and 2 go to your 3-way speakers up front, which leaves channel 3 and 4 available for your sub.

I was given a Sharp HT-DP3000 reciever and all the speakers that go with it.. but I don't know how plug in the speakers into the wire there is a box for the two surround and a separate box for the right...

Do you have speaker wire if not you will need some, the wire is cheap about $5 bucks a roll your local department store will have it. You see a red and black tabs on the back of the unit and on the back of each speakers you push down and stick one wire in the hole. red will be your + and black will be - The two surround go on the back wall behind your seat. The center will sit on top of TV and the sattalite speakes go beside the left and right side of TV. and the sub sits on the floor in hidding behind something or under a table. (P.S, Make sure the wire is shaved about 1/4 of inch before you stick in the wire DO NOT plug the power cord in, intill you hook up all the speakers this could damage the unit. You do not need a sub woofer, if you have one great If not don't worry that will not damage the unit it has a internal switch to turn on/off the sub woofer The sub woofer offers extra deep bass that you can't get from the sattalite speakers.)

Partial sound from my JBL E60 Towers

Are there 4 inputs on the back of the speakers? If so, you either need to hook up all four, or connect the upper and lower inputs to each other. The speakers come with gold plates that connect the upper and lower inputs, but you can just use speaker wire to connect them. At least that is what I did on the used set of speakers I bought when one plate was missing.

Pioneer prsx720 wiring question

If the subs are dual 4 ohm voice coils, you could hook the DVC's of each sub in parallel ("+"'s together, "-"'s together) making each sub essentially 2 ohms. Then connect one sub to each channel of the amps. This will put about 200W on each sub.

No Center Sound

it probably isn`t :) it should be a problem with the settings :) i have a str de335 too and i get decent sound.. it depends on what type of source of input u`re using . try this.. hook up a stereo source. go into setup mode.. select wide or normal setting for center, then activate sound field .. c-studio for example.. if the sound is annoying something is wrong with the amp.. :-s btw use the delay settings from 1-6 6 if they are close together :) . When using 5.1 input... turn off soundfield always.. and triple check center settings&levels
