Ur running it at an unstable resistance load. change ur speaker wire setup.

Sounds like it is clipping, turn the gain down as a temporary fix.
are you running a capacitor inline? what is the model of the amplifier? what gauge wire do you have hooked up to the power and ground? how long is the wire for the power and what do you have it connected to (fuse block, battery, distribution block)?
