I am trying to install drivers and software on windows 98 and it wont let me. I downloaded drivers and such from the internet and win 98 doesn't do anything , or it flashes an bsod error. What am I doing...

I am assuming you checked whether the drivers were compatible with Windows 98? If you do not see the Windows 98 mentioned under the driver, it probably wont work. Most likely because Windows 98 is too old. Another thing you can try if this is not the problem is to check for viruses. Lastly you could boot in Safe Mode (pressing F8 just before the Windows Logo starts up) and try installing there.

Good Luck,

I need to connect my printer to a different computer and can't seem to locate the disk that came with it. Is there a download possible? (windows 98)

Access the manufacturer's web-site:
and enter 'k60' and submit a search.
Select your model of printer.
Select your Operating System (Windows 98 has not been supported by Microsoft for at least 2 years, so it's possible that the device-drivers for Windows 98 have been removed from HP's site).
Download the device-driver.
Install it.

Need driver CD for HP3740

The printer doesn't support windows 98. supported systems are:

» Microsoft Windows Vista
» Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)
» Microsoft Windows XP
» Microsoft Windows XP x64
» Microsoft Windows 2000
» Mac OS X
» Mac OS 9
» Linux

Drivers are available at this page below:

Note that there are no drivers for 98 and it won't be simple to get the printer to work with the 98.. I would recommend upgrading to 2000 or windows xp. if your computer is from 1998 it might be better to buy a new computer.

Todays printers don't work with 10 year old computers anymore.

linux would work on the computer for sure, and so would the printer but using linux is quite complex, you would need to get someone to install it for you and make it look as much like windows as possible, its a whole new system..

Let me know if you need anything else.

How to install hp laserjet p1505n network printer in windows 98

I can not find a win 98 driver for your printer on the HP website. DO yu have the instalation disk that was writen for win 98? If not try installing the printer through  the control panel. Either printers/fax or through install new hardware. The first being the preference. Some of the win OSs have printr drivers already installed.
If this does not work out, then the printer has no drivr available for that version of windows and you ewither have to upgrade to Xp or use a different printer which has a driver for win 98.〈=en&product=3435671&
