If you're refering to the ice maker supply tubing, you can get ice maker hookup kits with the proper tubing and ferules at a local hardware or plumbing supply house.
Save your fittings as you pull them off to reuse what you can, you may need to replace the compression ferules on the plastic line under the compression nuts.
Be sure to pressure check for leaks before moving the refer back into position.

Valve repair kit for Schroedahl leak-off valve

Usually, the rubber gasket parts had become brittle. Just replace these parts and the entire component is now "refurbished" and good to go for another 5 years.

2001 Audi A4 windshield washer tubing is broken between the reservoir and the sprayer what is the routing so that I can replace the tubing as it keeps breaking shorter and shorter?

Try this:
Go to Autozone.com, use their Repair Manual section under the Repair Guides section - you have to 'join' but it's free.

But you'll likely need a copy of the factory service manual.

Most online forums - Audi or VW - will have a link to this info.

One option? connect a piece of string or wire or the new hose and CAREFULLY pull it through from the reservoir to the sprayers....called 'fishing the wire' in the phone biz, IIRC.

My water feed tube at the bottom of the freezer door is broken in the middle of the pipe and not at the connector. Please help! Model LRSC26925TT. how do I replace the complete tubing with a new one.

Instead of replacing the entire tube, have you thought about repairing the break? They sell spice kits at most home supply stores like Lowe's. That would be a lot easier.

My air conditioner blows air out on top by the window and on the floor but not in the middle on the dashboard. What part do i need to fix this and where is it located in the dashboard or under the hood?...

  • If the AC/heater air control doesn't work, you most likely have a vacuum line broken. All the air flow doors in the heater system are vacuum operated and without it the air will blow out of the windshield defrost vents. The common place for a vacuum line to break is under the hood where the lines pass near a hot area. The vacuum lines are normally a rigid black plastic tubing about 3/16 inch in diameter. They run across the engine compartment fastened to the section just below the wipers and air vent. The tube goes through the dash, usually near the steering column. When the tubing has been hot for long time it becomes brittle and cracks or breaks. Trace this tubing looking for a crack or break. The easiest repair is to cut out the broken section and replace it with rubber hose of the correct diameter. The hose needs to have an inside diameter that will fit snugly on to the vacuum tubing.

Replace valve cover gasket on 1998 626 i am worried about tearing up the wiring harness that is over the top of it because its brittle any suggestions?

If there is a segmented plastic sheath (flex split loom tubing) covering a bundle of individual wires and it's the protective tubing that's brittle that's normal. As long as you're gentle when handling it even if some of the tubing breaks off it isn't likely to damage the actual wires. Most auto parts stores sell a variety of split loom tubing that you can use to replace the brittle tubing with. The reason it's called split loom tubing is that it is split along it's length so that it can easily be slipped onto wiring harnesses without even disconnecting terminations.

Plum in a Amana fridge freezer

hello. I am assumming that your model has the ice and water dispenser. Not all models do. On the rear of these models with the ice and water feature you will find a small [1/4 inch] line that has to be connected to a cold water supply source. If you go to most any hardware store you can get the little kit necessary to make this connection. The kit consists of a length of 1/4 inch tubing, the connector to attach to the tube at the rear of your appliance, a valve and a tapping kit to tap into your closest cold water source. If the fridge is near the kitchen sink, you may choose to connect under the sink. If not, make sure you purchase a kit with enough 1/4 inch tubing to reach your nearest cold water pipe. J.

My dryer doesn't produce heat. the coil ignites

It's likely one of the coils is opening a break in the coil as the coil heats up. This coil will shrink when cool and be able to run again. In your machine, it appears Amana doesn't sell the coils as a separate item and the whole valve needs to be replaced. The part number is Y504091.

Disconnect power and turn off gas before working on this dryer. Working on gas dryers is not recommended for people who are not professionals.

Service on gas appliances should be undertaken by professionals only due to the danger of gas leakage which can cause fires or death by asphyxiation.

At front, remove 2 screws near floor at the bottom of the lower front panel. Pull bottom of panel toward you and down. The gas valve should now be accessible on the left. Take care not to touch or hit the ignitor or you will be replacing it also. It is VERY brittle.

Reverse process to re-assemble.
